Kirschbaum / Kerschbaum*

Johann Bernhardt Kirschbaum, son of Johann Peter Kirschbaum & Agnesia Meissenheimer, was born 19 October 1707 in Hochstätten. He married Catharina Margaretha Bender on 2 February 1736.

The baptisms of four of their children are recorded in the parish register of Hochstätten: (1) Maria Magdalena, baptized 27 August 1738; (2) Johann Nicolaus, baptized 22 April 1753; (3) Anna Maria, baptized 10 March 1756; and (4) Maria Elisabeth, baptized 7 August 1761.

Thorn (Kolb)

Johann Valentin Thorn was born on 26 April 1733 in Falkenstein.

Johann Valentin Thorn, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Margaretha, age 6; Johann [Jakob], are 3; Maria, age ½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 3.

Bäcker / Becker (Kolb)

Johann Jacob Becker was baptized on 24 September 1730 in Sankt Alban near Falkenstein.

Anna Magdalena Bender was baptized in Sankt Alban on 19 May 1737.

The marriage of Johann Jacob Becker & Anna Magdalena Bender is recorded in the parish register of Sankt Alban on 2 March 1756.

Jakob Becker, a farmer, his wife Anna [Magdalena], and daughters (Anna, age 8; Barbara, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 176 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

Bauer (Kolb)

Valentin Bauer and his wife Maria Ottila Engel were married on 12 May 1750 according to the Sankt Alban parish records.  They had three children, Johann Andreas, Johann Peter, and Johannes, all recorded in the Sankt Alban parish records, before immigrating to Russia.  Andreas died before the family immigrated, and both Maria and Peter died during the trip to the colony.
