Lederhos

Johannes Peter Lederhos, son of Philipp Lederhos, married on 10 February 1744 in Hilsbach to Anna Maria Basenmeyer, daughter of Heinrich Basenmeyer. The baptisms of their children are recorded in the Catholic Church in Hilsbach: (1) Ferdinand Georg, baptized 2 February 1745; (2) Maria Magdalena, baptized 29 March 1747; (3) Maria Eva, baptized 17 April 1749; (4) Eva Regina, baptized 2 May 1751; (5) Johannes Matthias, baptized 22 August 1753; (6) Joseph, baptized 9 January 1756; (7) Johannes, baptized 18 December 1757; and (8) Maria Regina, baptized 18 June 1760.

Lederer

Johann Gabriel Lederer, son of Johann Adam Lederer & Anna Katharina, was born and baptized on 12 April 1739 in Langenbeutingen, northeast of Heilbronn. [In 1976, the villages of Brettach and Langenbeutingen merged to become Langenbrettach.] He married Rosina Barbara Rau, daughter of Georg Konrad & Maria Eva Rau, on 23 February 1762 in the Heinsheim Lutheran Church.

Lauck

Johann Philipp Lauck, son of Johann Jacob Lauck & Maria Dorothea Mützeberger, was confirmed in Gelnhausen (northeast of Hanau) in 1746. He married there on 10 August 1752 to Anna Elisabeth Kalbfleisch, daughter of Johann Heinrich Kalbfleisch. Among their children baptized in Gelnhausen are: (1) Susanna Catharina, baptized 7 May 1753; (2) Maria Dorothea, baptized 1 February 1755; (3) Johann Philipp, baptized 10 December 1756; (4) Johann Jacob, baptized 27 July 1760; and (5) Sigismund (baptized 20 February 1764).

Legler

There are two Legler families from Weiler who immigrated to Russia:

(1) Johann Leonhard Legler, son of Hanß Jerg & Maria Magdalena Legler, was born 25 January 1707 & baptized 1 February 1707 in Weiler.

He first married in Weiler on 17 November 1733 to Anna Sabina Rothans, daughter of Johann Ludwig Rothans. At some point, he married a second time to Elisabeth who died 22 January 1748. He married a third time on 2 July 1748 in Weiler to Maria Elisabeth Gruber, daughter of Christoph Gruber.

Laubhan

Daniel Laubhahn, son of Johann Jacob Laubhahn & Maria Catharina Berger, was born in Teutschneureut near Karlsruhe on 10 December 1749.

His father died while Daniel was young, and his mother Katharina remarried to Ludwig Beck. [See Beck Family.]

The Beck/Laubhan family immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein). They departed from Altona, Duchy of Holstein, on 5 May 1761 under the leadership of Andreas Kirchhof and arrived in the city of Schleswig, Duchy of Schleswig, on 9 May 1761. They lived in Denmark until 12 January 1765 when they immigrated to Russia.

Lapp (Norka)

The baptisms of two sons born to Paulus & Anna Maria Lapp are recorded in the parish register of Pferdsbach: (1) Johann Christian, baptized 23 October 1712; and (2) Christian, baptized 26 November 1719.

Kister / Küster (Warenburg)

Johann Nicolaus Küster, second child and only son of Philipp Küster & Anna Catharina Christ, was born 28 September 1721 in Seeheim. His father Philipp had been born 25 February 1692 and died in 1771, while his mother Anna Catharina was born in 1693 and died 19 November 1764.

Nicolaus Küster, a baker (Bäcker), married Catharina Margaretha Hofmann on 4 June 1750 in Seeheim. The couple had three children before leaving for Russia: (1) Maria Albertina, born in 1752, died in 1753; (2) Carl Ferdinand Eberhard, born in 1754; and (3) Friedrich Zacharias, born in 1759.

Kutscher

There are 3 Kutscher families that settled in Ernestinendorf. All three of them arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of skipper Thomas Fairfax. All three of them settled in the Volga German colony of Ernestinendorf on 3 August 1767.

The first two, Johannes & Johann Georg, are not only cousins on their father's side, but their mothers were also sisters, and the grandmother on that side was also a Kutscher.

Kuntzmann

There are two Kuntzmann families that migrated from Weinheim to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) and then on to Russia. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.

(1) Johannes Kuntzmann was born on 19 June 1721 in Weinheim, today in Baden-Württemberg. He married there on 17 June 1748 to Eva Magdalena Wetzel. She had also been born in Weinheim on 16 January 1721.

They immigrated first to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Fridericia on 1 May 1760.
