Knaus (Holstein & Kratzke)

Christian Knaus, son of Michael Knaus, was born in Benzingen near Sigmaringen. He moved to Neulußheim, just east of the city of Speyer, and married there to Anna Katharina Bindewald, daughter of Georg Bindewald and Juliana Kraft of Neulußheim, on 29 January 1732. Their eldest child, Johannes Knaus, was born there and baptized on 17 June 1733 and a second son, Johann Peter Knaus, was born there and baptized on 8 February 1736.

Kloster (Semenovka)

Johann Adam Kloster was born on 27 September 1725 in the neighborhood of Dilshofen in Georgenhausen and was baptized in Georgenhausen on 30 September 1725. His father was Georg Heinrich Kloster (born 27 January 1700 also in Dilshofen) who married Anna Maria Bapsten on 18 February 1723 in nearby Reinheim. His grandparents were Johann Peter & Anna Sybillae Kloster.

Kloberdanz (Rothammel)

Franciscus Cloberdans (Franz Kloberdanz), the son of Johannes and Sophia Kloberdanz, was baptized in the Alzey Roman Catholic Church on 16 March 1724. On 12 February 1748, Franz was married there to Maria Anna Reitz. The earliest record of the Kloberdanz family in the records of the Alzey parish is the baptism of Agnes Klowerdantz on 1 January 1702.

Kling / Klink (Balzer)

The baptisms of the following children of Philipp Klinck & Anna Barbara Bender are recorded in the parish register of Düdelsheim: (1) Andreas, baptized 31 May 1744; and (2) Johannes, baptized 12 February 1750.

Andreas Klink married in Düdelsheim on 11 March 1766 to Julianna Ruth [sic], the daughter of Conrad & Anna Margaretha Ruth. She had been baptized on 18 September 1740 in nearby Calbach.

Kleinfelder

Johann Heinrich Kleinfelder, son of Johann Heinrich & Barbara Kleinfelder, was baptized in Düdelsheim on 25 March 1746.

Johann Kleinfelder, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard a packet-boat under the command of Lieutenant Pyotr Malinkov.

He settled in Balzer on 18 June 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 59 along with his [new] wife (Katharina Rockel) and her siblings. [See Rockel Family.]

Klein (Frank-1)

There are multiple lineages of the Klein family that settled in Frank.  They are related via common ancestors Johann Friedrich Klein and Anna Margaretha Klüppel of Södel.

Johann Philipp Klein, son of Johann Ernst Klein & Anna Elisabetha Ries, was baptized in Södel on 30 May 1719. He married there on 17 November 1746 to Anna Elisabeth Raab, daughter of Johannes Raab & Maria Elisabetha Krafft, who was born 4 March 1725 in Trais an der Horloff.

Held(t) (Dönhof)

Johann Heinrich Held, son of Johann Martin & Anna Held, married 28 February 1741 in Georgenhausen to Anna Eva Wagner, daughter of Johann Christian Wagner & Anna Magdalena Beck. She had been born 5 June 1720 in Georgenhausen.

Klaus (Balzer / Moor / Norka)

Related Klaus families from Düdelsheim settled in three different Volga German colonies (Balzer, Moor, and Norka):

(1) Johann Stephan Klaus, son of Johann Caspar & Anna Barbara Claus, was baptized in the village of Düdelsheim on 29 December 1717. He married 26 November 1744 to Susanna Kling, daughter of Johann Caspar Kling & Anna Cunigunde Velten. Susanna had been born on 27 March 1717 in Düdelsheim.

Klaassen / Klassen

Jacob Klaassen, son of Dirk Klaassen (1765-1843) & Anna Penner (1769-1824), was born 15 March 1793 in Fürstenwerder, Gross Werder, Prussia. He married 10 February 1818 to Helena Hamm, daughter of Martin Hamm (1746-1825) & Barbara Fröse (1760-1807). She was born 26 April 1793 in nearby Peterhagenfeld, Gross Werder.

Jacob, Helena, and their children moved Russia in 1856. The parents settled in Köppental where they are listed in Household No. 9 on the 1857 Census. Their son Martin and his family settled in Hahnsau where they are listed in Household No. 20 on the 1857 Census.

Kissler

Johann Peter Kihsler was born about 1710 in Bannerod, Germany.

Johann Peter Kissler, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Johannes under the command of Skipper Stahl.

Joh. Heinr. Kisler [sic], his wife Anna Elisab., and son Joh. Henr. (age 3) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
