Anschütz (Nieder-Monjou)

Johann Heinrich Anschütz, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Christian, age 16; Philipp, age 10; Konrad, age 8; Anna, age 4; Kathairna, age ¾) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina under the command of Skipper Johann Joachim Janson.

Johann Heinr. Anschütz, his wife Anna Elisabeth, and children (Johann Christian, age 16; Philip, age 10¼; Conrad, age 8; Anna Elisabeth, age 5; Catrina Elisabeth, age 1) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann Heinrich Anschütz, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Christian, age 18; Philipp, age 12; Konrad, age 9; Elisabeth, age 5) are recorded on the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 67. They had settled in Nieder-Monjou on 3 August 1767.

In 1786, Christian Anschütz and his family moved from Nieder-Monjou to Urbach.

In 1792, Kaspar Anschütz moved from Urbach back to Nieder-Monjou.

Johann Michael Anschütz, son of Philipp Anschütz, is recorded on the 1811 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 45 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Urbach [year not recorded].

In 1818, Michael Anschütz moved from Urbach back to Nieder-Monjou.

The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Anschütz came from the German village of Biskirchen near Braunfels.
