Johann Adam Bachmann [sic], a botton maker (Knopfmacher), and his wife Johanna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Johann Adam Bachmann and his wife Johanna Elisab. are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann Adam Bachmann and his [new] wife Katharina are recorded on the 1767 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 13. They had settled in Paulskaya on 22 July 1767.

Adam Bachmann and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Paulskaya in Household No. Pl08 along with a note that, except for his son, they are all now in Krasnoyar where he is the schoolmaster, and that he was not listed anywhere in the 1788 census because he was in Grimm where he was also the schoolmaster.

In 1788, Konrad Bachmann moved from Paulskaya to Nieder-Monjou and Philipp Beckmann moved from Paulskaya to Krasnoyar.

In 1789, Philipp Bachmann moved from Fischer to Krasnoyar.

In 1791, Konrad Bachmann moved from Fischer to Nieder-Monjou.

The 1767 census records that Johann Adam Bachmann came from the German village of Blauenthal near Kotteritz.
