Discussion & Documentation:

Johann Peter Pfilbert, son of Nicolaus Filbert & Agnessa Heß, was born on 27 September 1708 in Gronau [in Kr. Bergstraße - the Eichhorn book identifies it incorrectly as the Gronau in Kr. Wetterau]. He married in Gronau on 25 August 1733 to Anna Maria Stock, daughter of Johann Conrad Stock & Anna Maria Pfeiffer. She had been born 8 November 1716 in Gronau.

The baptisms of the following children born to Johann Peter Filbert & Anna Maria Stock are recorded in the parish register of Gronau: (1) Maria Margaretha, born 3 April 1736; (2) Maria Barbara, born 4 May 1738; (3) Anna Maria, born 5 November 1740, died 7 February 1741; (4) Anna Maria, born 20 December 1741; (5) Johann Nicolaus, born 7 April 1744; (6) Anna Elisabeth, born 7 November 1746; (7) Johann Georg, born 11 December 1748; (8) Johann Conrad, born 17 February 1751; (9) Johann Philipp, born 5 March 1753; (10) Johann Peter, born 21 June 1755; and (11) Johanna Susanna, born 10 June 1758, died 28 April 1759.

They and their children (4 sons & 2 daughters) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), arriving in Fridericia on 2 November 1759. Father Johann Peter died in Thoring and was buried on 21 May 1761 in the Danish colony of Havredal.

His sons Johann Georg & Johann Nikolaus immigrated to Schilling and are recorded there on the 1775 census in Households No. 4 & 5.

Konrad Filbert and his wife Anna Katharina, along with their newborn daughter Anna Maria are recorded on the 1775 census of Beideck in Household No. 75. The 1798 census of Beideck records Konrad Filbert from Schilling in Household No. Bd94.

The 1834 census of Beideck records that Philipp Peter & Nikolaus Filbert, sons of Konrad, relocated to the colony of Grimm in 1834.

Filbert Family in Sarepta
Two Fillbert [sic] sisters, daughters of Johann Conrad Fillbert & Maria Catharina Rutz, moved from Beideck to Sarepta on 6 September 1794: (1) Anna Catharina, born 5 December 1783 [other sources record 27 November 1783] in Beideck [she later married Pastor Johann Martin Otto]; (2) Anna Margaretha, born 18 May 1787 in Beideck. They were joined by a cousin from Schilling on 18 June 1801: Maria Elisabeth Fillbert, daughter of Johann Philipp Fillbert & Anna Margaretha Kerber, born 25 March 1782 in Schilling.
