Gossmann (Fischer)
Andreas Gossmann, a farmer, and his family immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1761.
They joined the migration to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Fischer on 28 July 1765.
Andreas Kossmann, his wife Anna Maria, and children (Christian, age 17; Anna Christina, age 14; Johann Gottlieb, age 9; Anna Katharina, age 4) are recorded on the 1767 census of Fischer in Household No. 7.
The widow and children of Christian Gossmann are recorded on the 1798 census of Fischer in Household No. Fs23.
In 1790, Gottlieb Grossmann moved from Fischer to Urbach.

Various branches of the descendants of this family go by Gos(s)man(n) while others go by Kos(s)man(n).
The Eichhorns record that Andreas Gossmann was born in Poland, near the Brandenburg border, and immigrated from the village of Landsberg. The 1767 census records that Andreas Kossmann came from the Polish village of Filehne.
