Franz Hartwig (age 40), a farmer, his wife Christina Heildorf (age 30), and children (Nikolaus, age 10; Anna Margaretha, age 1½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Köhler in Household No. 17. They had arrived in Köhler on 10 August 1767. A daughter named Margaretha had been born on 5 March 1767 in Kolomna while en route to the colonies.
In 1788, Sebastian Hartwig moved from Köhler to Semenovka.
In 1791, Johannes Hartwig moved from Köhler to Volmer.
In 1794, widower Franz Hartwig moved from Köhler to Kraft.
