Johann Chrispens and his wife Wilhelmina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 82 along with their daughter Susanna (age 1/2).
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Chrispens was a shoemaker while the 1767 census records that he was a farmer.
The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Chrispens came from the German village of Lentach [?] in the Fribourg [?] region.
