Konrad Michel, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children ([a] Ludwig, age 24; Anna, age 22; [b] Johann, age 20; Margaretha, age 17; [c] Peter, age 11; Maria, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat under the command of Midshipman Mankensey.

Konrad Michel, a farmer, his wife Anna Elisabeth, and children (Johannes, age 20; Anna Margaretha, age 17; Peter, age 12; Maria Elisabeth, age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Moor in Household No. 31. They had settled in Moor on 18 June 1767.

[a] Ludwig Michel and his [new] wife Anna Elisabeth [Kaiser] are recorded on the 1767 census of Moor in Household No. 33. [See Kaiser Family in Messer.]

Ludwig Michel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Moor in Household No. Mo17.

Heinrich Michel, son of Ludwig Michel, from Moor is recorded on the 1811 census of Kautz in Household No. 30 along with a note that he had arrived in Kautz from Moor in 1806.

Heinrich Michel and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Kautz in Household No. 42.

Widower Georg Heinrich Michel is recorded on the 1857 census of Kautz in Household No. 42. There are no known surviving male lines of this Georg Heinrich Michel family among the Volga German colonies.

[b] Johannes Michel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Moor in Household No. Mo57.

[c] Peter Michel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Moor in Household No. Mo21.

The 1767 census records that Konrad Michel came from the German district of Isenburg.
