Steinberger's list of those immigrating to Russia from Leisenwald includes the Reifschneider families that settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter.

Several Reifschneider families immigrated to Russia arrving from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.  They settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter on 8 July 1767.

(1) Johannes Reifschneider from Leisewald [sic] and Anna Katharina Loos from Liesewald [sic] married on 3 May 1766 in Büdingen.

Johannes is recorded on the 1767 census of Kutter in Household No. 14 along with his wife Anna Katharina.

The parish register in Sarepta records that this family relocated to Sarepta on 10 October 1790.

Johannes Reifschneider and his wife Anna Katharina Loos are recorded on the 1798 census of Kutter in Household No. Kt76.

The death of Johannes Reifschneider in 1834 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kutter in Household No. 153. There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this Johannes Reifschneider.

(2) Heinrich is recorded on the 1767 census of Kutter in Household No. 18 along with his wife Anna Maria.

Anna Maria Eckhardt, the widow of Heinrich Reifschneider, her son Johannes Reifschneider and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kutter in Household No. Kt10.

Johannes Reifschneider, son of Heinrich Reifschneider, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Kutter in Household No. 33.

(3) Konrad is recorded on the 1767 census of Kutter in Household No. 19 along with his wife Anna Margaretha.

Andreas Reifschneider and his siblings are recorded on the 1798 census of Kutter in Household No. Kt13. They are assumed to be children of Konrad Reifschneider.

Andreas Reifschneider, presumed son of Konrad Reifschneider, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Kutter in Household No. 28.

Friedrich Reifschneider, son of Andreas Reifschneider, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Kutter in Household No. 30.

The descendants of Andreas Reifschneider are recorded on the 1857 census of Kutter in Households No. 37, 38, & 39 along with a note that his son Johann Georg moved from Kutter to Oberdorf in 1853.

Johann Georg Reifschneider from Kutter and his wife are recorded on the 1857 census of Oberdorf in Household No. 71. They appear to have no suriving descendants.

Johann Melchior Reifschneider, presumed son of Konrad Reifschneider, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Kutter in Household No. 106.

Friedrich Reifschneider, presumed son of Konrad Reifschneider, from Kutter and his son Heinrich (age 4) are recorded on the 1811 census of Norka in Household No. 56 along with a note that he had arrived in Norka from Kutter in 1803. [This may be the same Georg Friedrich Reifschneider and his son Heinrich recorded on the 1834 census of Kutter along with a note that they relocated to an unknown colony.]

(4) Andreas is recorded on the 1767 census of Kutter in Household No. 20 along with his wife Elisabeth and sister Anna Maria (age 13).

The parish register in Sarepta records that two children of Andreas Reifschneider & Anna Elisabeth Loos, had been born in Kutter: (1) Anna Katharina on 9 May 1780; and (2) Johanna Margaretha on 9 August 1782. The register records that the family had relocated from Kutter to Sarepta on 10 June 1794.

Andreas Reifschneider and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kutter in Household No. Kt74.

The death of Johannes Reifschneider, son of Andreas Reifschneider, in 1822 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kutter in Household No. 39.

(5) Melchior is recorded on the 1767 census of Kutter in Household No. 22 along with his father Walter (age 60).

Melchior Reifschneider and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kutter in Household No. Kt29.

The death of Andreas Reifschneider, son of Melchior Reifschneider, in 1818 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kutter in Household No. 57.

Johannes Reifschneider, son of Melchior Reifschneider, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Kutter in Household No. 116.

(6) Anna Katharina, daughter of Johannes Reifschneider, married in Leisenwald on 20 April 1752 to Wendel Engel.

Wendel Engel, his wife Katharina, and their family are recorded on the 1767 census of Kutter in Household No. 15.

The 1767 census records that each of these Reifschneider families came from the German region of Isenburg.
