There are two Siegel families that settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 20 June 1767, but their relationship to each other is not recorded. The 1767 census records that both of them came from the German village of Eppingen.

(1) Johann[es] Siegel, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Johann, age 8; Anna, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax. They are recorded on the 1767 census of Kamenka in Household No. 69.

In 1790, widow Christina Siegel and her children moved from Kamenka to Penza.

(2) Nikolaus Siegel, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the Russian boot Neton-Men under the command of Midshipman Emelyan Lozhnikov. They are recorded on the 1767 census of Kamenka in Household No. 70.
