Johann Nicolaus Wacker, son of Bartel Wacker & Anna Catharina Gerth, was born on 5 November 1702 in Langenselbold and died in Langenselbold on 23 May 1775. He married on 15 April 1722 in Langensebold to Engel Repp, daughter of Anton Repp & Anna Margreth Strahl. She had been born 30 August 1703 in Langenselbold and died 28 February 1762 in Langenselbold.

One of their children is Johannes Wacker who was born 29 November 1733 in Langenselbold. Johannes married on 6 February 1755 in Wolf to Maria Louisa Mors, daughter of Johann Jacob Mörs and Albertina Ernestina Forrel. Maria Louisa Mors had been born 19 October 1727 in Budingen.

The births of 5 children to Johannes Wacker & Maria Louisa Mors are recorded in Wolf: (1) Johann Heinrich, baptized 12 January 1756; (2) Ernestina Christina, baptized 13 May 1757; (3) Johann Christoph, baptized 3 March 1759; (4) Johann Michael, baptized 3 May 1761; and (5) Johann Nicolaus, baptized 24 June 1764.

Johann[es] Wacker, his wife Maria Louisa, and children (Johann Heinrich, age 12; Johann Christoph, age 10; Johann Michael, 7; Johann Nikolaus, age 2½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the Lübeck hooker Die Jungfer Dietrika under the command of Skipper Christian Korsholm.

Joh. Wackerer [sic], his wife Anna Maria [sic], and children (Joh. Heinrich, age 12; Joh. Christoph, age 10; Joh. Michel, age 7; Joh. Nicolaus, age 3; Maria Gertrud, born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Joh. Michel and newborn Maria Gertrud died en route.

Johannes Wacker, a farmer, his wife Maria Louisa, and children (Johann Heinrich, age 14; Johannes, age 10; Nicolaus, age 4; Anna Maria, age 2-weeks) are recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 195. They had settled in Norka on 2 September 1767.

Widower Johannes Wacker and his children (Christophel, age 15; Nikolaus, age 13; Anna Maria, age 7) are recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Household No. 48 along with his son Johann Heinrich (age 24) and daughter-in-law Katharina (age 22).

Heinrich Wacker, son of Johannes Wacker, and his family are recorded on the 1811 census of Norka in Household No. 49.

Georg Wacker, son of Johannes Wacker, is recorded on the 1811 census of Norka in Household No. 49 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Huck in 1808.

Part of the family relocated to the colony of Kutter, and in 1797 Nikolaus Wacker moved back from Kutter to Norka.

The death of Johannes Wacker in 1821 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kutter in Household No. 105.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Wacker is a miller while the 1767 census records that he is a farmer. Both documents record that he came from the German district of Isenburg.
