Bauman(n) (Schuck)

Andreas Baumann, a blacksmith (Schmied), settled in the Volga German colony of Schuck on 18 July 1766. He and his wife Anna Maria are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 9.

The 1767 census records that Andreas Baumann came from the German village of Neustadt in the Kurpfalz region.

Würtz (Schuck)

Peter Würtz, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Schuck on 18 June 1766. He and his family are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 8.

In 1797, Peter Würtz moved from Schuck to Volmer.

The 1767 census records that Peter Würtz came from the German village of Brühl in the region of Speyer.

Gette / Götte (Schuck)

Sebastian Gotha [sic] (age 28), a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth Geyer (age 27) are recorded on a list of colonists dated 23 September 1765 who were gathering in the town of Worms.

Sebastian Götte, a farmer, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and daughter Maria Elisabeth (age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Schuck in Household No. 7. They had arrived in Schuck on 18 June 1766.

Johannes Götte, presumed son of Sebastian Götte, and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Schuck in Household No. Su07.

Bandel (Schuck)*

Jacob Bandel (age 32), a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Apolonia Brotz (age 48), and stepchildren (Heinrich Schechtel, age 16; Sophia Schechtel, age 13; Barbara Schechtel, age 9; Peter Schechtel, age 6; Wilhelm Schechtel, age 6) are recorded on a list of colonists dated 23 September 1765 who were gathering in the town of Worms.

Krieger (Schuck)

Johann Georg Krieger (age 38), a shepherd (Schäfer), his wife Anna Eva Mehr [Mohr?] (age 30), and [step-]sons (Johann Jacob [Zink], age 11; Joseph [Zink], age 9) are recorded on a list of colonists dated 23 September 1765 who were gathering in the town of Worms. They had arrived in Worms on 21 September 1765.

Johann Georg Krieger, a farmer, his wife Eva, [step-]sons (Johann Jakob [Zink], age 18; Joseph [Zink], age 12), and son Johann Peter (age ½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Schuck in Household No. 5. They had arrived in Schuck on 18 June 1766.

Eckel (Schuck)

Some researchers have translated this surname as Jäkel.

Heinrich Eckel (age 42), a farmer, his wife Christian Suppes (age 42), and sons (Johann Wilhelm, age 15; Sebastian, age 12) are recorded on a list of colonists dated 23 September 1765 who were gathering in the town of Worms. They had arrived in Worms on 21 September 1765.

Heinrich Eckel, a farmer, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and sons (Johann Wilhelm, age 17; Sebastian, age 16) are recorded on the 1767 census of Schuck in Household No. 4. They had settled in Schuck on 18 June 1766.

Freihaut

Valentin [sic] Freyhaut (age 30), a single farmer, is recorded on a list of colonists dated 23 September 1765 who were gathering in the town of Worms.

Valentin [sic] Freihaut, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Schuck on 18 June 1766. He and his wife Katharina are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 3.

The widow and children of Christian [sic] Freihaut are recorded on the 1798 census of Schuck in Household No. Su07.

Christian Freihaut, son of Christian Freihaut, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Schuck in Household No. 16.
