Müller (Frank-2)

There are multiple Müller lines in Frank.

Widower Peter Müller settled in the Volga German colony of Frank in 1767.  He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5.

He may be the Peter Müller that arrived from Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin. There were several other families on this vessel that settled in the Volga German colony of Frank.

Müller (Dietel-3)

There are several Müller families that settled in Dietel.

Johann Müller, a farmer, his wife Anna, and their family (Anna, age 17; Maria, age 15; Andreas, age 12; Christian, age 10; Johannes, age 8; Christina, age 7; Michael, age 4; and Peter, age 1/4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Grapp.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Dietel.

Andreas Müller and his wife, Margaretha Wolf, are recorded on the 1798 census of Bauer (Br02) as being from Dietel.

Müller (Dietel-2)

There are several Müller families that settled in the Volga German colony of Dietel.

Jakob Müller was married to Katharina Applehans, daughter of Philipp Heinrich Applehans & Anna Katharina Heuff.  Jakob Müller, a miller, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig Mercurius under the command of Skipper Christian Heinrich Abelßen.

The Applehans family settled in the Volga German colony of Rothammel.

Beratz

Lambertus Beratz, a farmer, and his wife Albertina immigrated to Russia, arriving from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity with skipper Thomas Fairfax at the helm.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 20 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49.

The 1767 census records that Lambertus Beratz came from the German village of Weisenau in the Kurmainz region.

Bengler

Georg Bengler and his family immigrated to Russia, arriving from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 18 Jun 1766 aboard the ship Mann & Frau under the command of skipper Daniel Berg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 16 August 1767. Georg died in Preuss on 13 October 1767.

Widow Maria Magdalena Bengler and children (Maria Katharina, age 15; Stephan Peter, age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 130.

Schweigert (Preuss)

Jakob Schweigert, a butcher (Fleischer), and his family immigrated to Russia, arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann & Frau under the command of skipper Daniel Berg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 16 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 124.

In 1795, Johannes Schweigert moved from Preuss to Hölzel.

Johann Schweigert from Preuss and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Hölzel in Household No. Hz11.

Krug (Preuss)

Bartel[omeus] Krug, a farmer, his wife Sophia, and children (Johann, age 9; Susanna, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum aboard the ship Mann & Frau on 18 June 1766.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 15 July 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 126.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Bartel Krug was a farmer from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that he was a hat maker (Hutmacher) from the German village of Lübetz in the Kurmainz region.

Margheim

Gottlieb Margheim settled in the Volga German colony of Merkel on 28 August 1766.  He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32.

The 1767 census records that he came from the area of Dresden in Saxony.
