Gottlieb Brühan from Merkel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kolb in Household No. Ko08.

Gottlieb Brühan and his sons (Johannes, age 14; Nikolaus, age 3) are recorded on the 1811 census of Kolb in Household No. 8.

Johann Philipp Schulz arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder along with the Meckel family. [See Meckel Family.]

Johann Philipp Schult [sic] is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 traveling with the Meckel family.
