Keller (Reinwald)

Johann Keller and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Reinwald in Household No. Rw56.

Johann Keller is recorded on the 1811 census or Reinwald in Household No. 56 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Schwed in 1801.

Johann Keller from Reinwald is recorded on the 1811 census of Schwed in Household No. 26.

März / Mertz (Reinwald)

Johann Mertz, a farmer, his wife Susanna, and children (Jurgen, age 16; Peter, age 14; Johann, age 12; Maria, age 10; Lorenz, age 8; Anna, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Widow Susanna Mertz and her children (Georg Philipp, age 16; Johan [sic] Peter, age 13; Johannes, age 11; Maria Elisabeth, age 9) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Seifert (Reinwald)*

Friedrich Seifert and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Reinwald in Household No. Rw58.

The death of Friedrich Seifert in 1831 is recorded on the 1834 census of Reinwald in Household No. 116.

The death of his son Friedrich in 1836 is recorded on the 1850 census of Reinwald in Household No. 173.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Seifert family among the Volga German colonies.

Wiegel

In 1795, Kaspar Wiegel and his family moved from Reinwald to Schwed.

Kaspar Wiegel from Reinwald and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Schwed in Household No. Sw10.

Bauer (Lauwe)

There are two Bauer families recorded on the 1798 census of Lauwe. They are presumed to be brothers, but further research is needed to confirm this relationship.

(1) Georg Bauer and his wife Louisa are recorded on the 1798 census of Lauwe in Household No. Lw10.

(2) Wilhelm Bauer and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Lauwe in Household No. Lw14.

Vigek*

The widow of Christian Vigek is recorded on the 1798 census of Laub in Household No. Lb20.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Störck

Adrian Stührk [sic] and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Laub in Household No. Lb26 along with a note that he is serving as the schoolmaster in Bangert.

The death of Adam Stührk [sic] in 1817 is recorded on the 1834 census of Laub in Household No. 28.

Subsequent documents record this surname as Störck.

Stern (Laub)*

Johann Stern, a farmer, and his wife Dorothea Sophia are recorded on the 1767 census of Laub in Household No. 34. They had settled there on 19 August 1767.

The 1767 census records that Johann Stern came from the German village of Kiel in the Holstein region.
