Hasselbach (Hockerberg)

Georg Hasselbach and his wife Anna along with Melchior Hasselbach and his son Adam (age 4) and Anna Regina Hasselbach and Anna Elisabeth Hasselbach arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder. The relationship among all of these Hasselbachs, if any, needs further research.

Gerber (Graf)

There are two Gerber families recorded in the colony of Graf. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.

(1) Andreas Gerber and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Graf in Household No. Gf12.

(2) The widow and children of Franz Gerber are recorded on the 1798 census of Schäfer in Household No. Sf30 along with a note that his son Wilhelm Gerber is working in Graf.

In 1849, Konrad Gerber and his family relocated from Schäfer to Friedental.

Jäkel (Graf)

Friedrich Jäkel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Graf in Household No. Gf05 along with a note that they are in the colonies of Stahl am Karaman and Schwed and herding cattle for the colonists there.

Jäger (Graf)*

The widow and daughters of Johann Georg Adam Jäger from Graf are recorded on the 1798 census of Louis in Household No. Ls47.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Jäger family among the Volga German colonies.

Muntz (Göbel)

There are 2 Muntz families recorded in Göbel. They are presumed to be brothers, but further research is needed to verify this relationship.

(1) Lorenz Muntz and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Göbel in Household No. Gb22.

(2) Wilhelm Muntz and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Göbel in Household No. Gb34.

Kalbich

Johannes Kalbich and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Göbel in Household No. Gb51.

The death of Johannes Kalbich in 1824 is recorded on the 1834 census of Göbel in Household No. 81.

Kirchgessner (Pfeifer)*

Johann Kirchgessner, a farmer, his wife Maria, and son Johann [Philipp] (age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronstadt under the command of Lieutenant Samuel Gibbs.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Pfeifer.

In 1788, Philipp Kirchgessner moved from Pfeifer to Göbel.

Philipp Kirchgessner and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Göbel in Household No. Gb47.
