Schiffelmeier*
Johann Schiffelmeier, a farmer, his wife Anna, and sons (Johann, age 9; Christoph age 5) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Johannes Schiffelmeier, his wife Margaretha, and son Johann Daniel (age 8) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Schnell (Kaneau)
Johann Heinrich Schnell, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Heinrich Schnell, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Kaneau on 7 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 70.
The 1767 census records that Heinrich Schnell came from the German village of Moschheim.
Wettermann*
Joh. Christ. Wettermann is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johann Christian Wettermann, a physician (Arzt), and his wife Henriette settled in the Volga German colony of Kaneau on 3 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 28.
[Johann Christian Wettermann, a barber (Friseur), and his wife Henriette are also recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 78.]
Gette (Kaneau)*
Konrad Gette, a stocking maker, his wife Elisabeth, and daughters (Maria, age 7; Susanna, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Joh. Conrad Kett, his wife Elisabeth, and daughters (Maria Margaretha, age 7; Susanna Jacobina, age 2½) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Gerling (Kaneau)
Andreas Gerling, a farmer, and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Kaneau on 3 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 69.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Gerling came from the German village of Welgesheim [?].
Haus (Kaneau)*
Anna Sophia Haus (age 19), and her siblings (Sophia Elisabeth, age 17; Dorothea Elisabeth, age 12; Maria Louisa, age 9) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kaneau in Household No. 22 along with their stepfather Christoph Lichtner. They had settled there on 7 June 1767.
The 1767 census does not record from where the Haus sisters came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Haus family among the Volga German colonies.
Gärtner (Kaneau)*
Franz Gärtner, a hatter (Hutmacher), and his wife Theresia are recorded on the 1767 census of Kaneau in Household No. 87. They had settled there on 17 August 1767.
The 1767 census records that Franz Gärtner came from the German region of Schönberg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Gärtner family among the Volga German colonies.
