Geig / Geck*

Andreas Geig [sic] and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dietel in Household No. Dt20.

Andreas Geck [sic] and his stepson Georg Friedrich Haas are recorded on the 1811 census of Dietel in Household No. 20.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Röhmer (Dietel)

Adam Röhmer and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dietel in Household No. Dt48.

Assumed to be his son is Heinrich Röhmer who is recorded with his family on the 1798 census of Dietel in Household No. Dt76.

Rohlmann

Johann Georg Rohlmann and his wife Anna Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Merkel on 28 August 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 43.

In 1793, Michael Rohlmann [probable son of Johann Georg Rohlmann] moved from Dietel to Grimm.

Michael Rohlmann from Dietel is recorded with his family on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm041.

The death of Michael Rohlmann in 1830 is recorded on the 1834 census of Grimm in Household No. 117.

The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Rohlmann came from the German area of Alsace.

Augner*

This surname is incorrectly translated as Von Der Au by some researchers.

Christian Augner, a farmer, his wife Maria, and son Johann (age 3) arrived together from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Christian Augner and his wife Maria are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Vidieu*

Nikolaus Vidieu, stocking maker (Strumpfwirker), and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 28 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29.

The 1767 census records that Nikolaus Vidieu came from the French village of Vitry in the Champagne region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Wentz (Brabander)

Sebastian Meier, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, sons (Johannes, age 3; Johann Georg, age 1¾), and stepson Johann Just [Wentz] (age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina with the skipper Daniel Geier at the helm.

Sebastian Meyer [sic], his wife Eisabeth, sons (Johannes, age 4; George, age ½), and stepson Johann Jost [Wentz] (age 12) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Oranienbaum in 1767.
