Bahn*

Gottlieb Bahn, a tailor, his wife Maria, and son Johann (age 13) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Gottlieb Fried. Bahn, his [new?] wife Maria Doroth., son Joh. Frieder. (age 13), and [step-?]daughter Charlotta [surname not recorded] (age 9) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Bierd*

Orphan Anna Margaretha Bierd (age 11) is recorded on the 1767 census of Boisroux in Household No. 56 along with the Ernst Mann family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Bierd and Mann families.

The 1767 census does not record from where Anna Margaretha Bierd came.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Bergmann (Boisroux)*

Johann Bergmann, a single carpenter (Tischler), settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux on 7 June 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 90.

The 1767 census records that Johann Bergmann came from the Swedish village of Falun.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Bauer (Boisroux)

An article by Hermann Wäschke records the following:

Andreas Bauer, a hired-hand (Knecht) from Wörlitz.

A list of Andreas Bauer's debts recorded in Wörlitz in 1766 indicates that he was born in Oranienbaum.

Andreas Bauer, a single miller, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Hahndorff*

David Hahndorf, a tailor, his wife Anna, and sons (Johann, age 9; Christian, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Johan Hahndorff, his wife Anna Catharina, and sons (Christian, age 10; Joh. David, age 9) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both parents died en route.

Händlein*

Widower Johann[es] Händlein, a gunsmith (Kanonenschmied), settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux on 3 August 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 91.

In 1770, Johannes Händlein left Boisroux for Moscow and from there returned to Germany.

The 1767 census records that Johann[es] Händlein came from the German village of Kempten in the Schwaben (Swabia) region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Ehrenberg

Valentin Grabe married in 1761 to Agness Stössel, widow of Friedrich Ehrenberg.

Valentin Grabe, a farmer, his wife Agness, and children (Dorothea, age 18; Wilhelm [Ehrenberg], age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax. [See Grabe Family.]

Christian Grabe, his wife Agnese, and children (Dorothea, age 18; Willhelm [Ehrenberg], age 7) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Diemke*

Christoph Diemke and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Boisroux in Household No. Bx44.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
