Tanz*

Daniel Tanz, his wife Barbara, and stepson Johann Faas (age 14) are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 8.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Tanz family among the Volga German colonies.

Bäcker / Becker (Grimm-2)

Johannes Becker and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm050.

The death of Johannes Becker in 1819 is recorded on the 1834 census of Grimm in Household No. 214.

The death of Kaspar Becker, son of Johannes Becker, in 1852 is recorded on the 1857 census of Grimm in Household No. 134.

The death of Konrad Becker, son of Johannes Becker, in 1854 is recorded on the 1857 census of Grimm in Household No. 146.

Geier (Schulz)

In 1787, Johann Georg Geier and his family moved from Schulz to Schäfer.

Georg Geier from Schulz and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Schäfer in Household No. Sf27.

Katharina Geier, widow of Georg Geier, and their son Gottfried and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Graf in Household No. 16.

Gottlieb Geier, son of Georg Geier, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Graf in Household No. 25.

Johannes Geier, son of Georg Geier, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Graf in Household No. 45.

Thiele (Unknown)*

In the parish register of Coswig is the following entry:

"den 17. August 1766 - Ist Herr Mauritius Thiele, Russischer Kaiserlicher Ober, Kommissarius über Koloniste mit seiner Verlobte Jungfrau Eleonora Dorothea Wandeck(in), aus Dessau in hiesiger Kirche eingesegnet und getraut worden."

[Translation: On 17 August 1766, Mauritius Thiele, Imperial Russian Superior and Commisioner of the colonists, married his financée, the virgin Eleanora Dorothea Wandeck from Dessau, in the local church.]
