Wilhelm Fuchs, a farmer, his wife, Anna, and children (Katharina, age 16; Philipp, age 10; [a] Anton, age 8; [b] Johann [Wilhelm], age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.
The parents died after arrival in Russia and the surviving children settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter. Anton (age 10) and Wilhelm (age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kutter in Household No. 36 along with the Johannes Müller family.
The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Fuchs and Müller families.
[a] Anton Fuchs is recorded on the 1798 census of Kautz in Household No. Kz21.
The death of Anton Fuchs in 1820 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kautz in Household No. 32. However, the parish register of Kautz records that he died there on 26 November 1817.
[b] Wilhelm Fuchs and his family moved from Bauer to Degott in 1796.

Wilhelm Fuchs and his family are recorded on the 1811 census of Kautz in Household No. 37 along with a note that they had arrived in Kautz from Degott in 1800.
The death of Wilhelm Fuchs in 1822 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kautz in Household No. 20.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Wilhelm Fuchs came from the German region of Isenburg.
