In 1792, Johann Christian Stehle moved from Kautz to Merkel.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Martin Stehle was a carpenter while the 1767 census records that he was a wheelwright.

Jakob Kummersheimer, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Henrietta, age 12; Konrad, age 11; Jakob, age 8; Johann, age 6; Sebastian, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 on a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Grapp.

Jakob Kummersheimer, a farmer, his wife Anna Margaretha, and children ( Henrietta, age 18; Johann Konrad, age 14; Johann Jakob, age 12; Johann Ulrich, age 8; Sebastian, age 6; Sophia Margaretha, age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kautz in Household No. 27. They had settled in Kautz on 30 August 1767.

Michael Hermoni, a farmer, his wife Regina [sic], and sons (Anton, age 2; Franziscus, age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Grapp.

Michael Hermani, his wife Christina [sic], and son Franciscus (age ¾) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that the wife and son died en route.

Paul Hering, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and daughters (Anna Margaretha, age 7; Juliana Katharina, age 6; Anna Elisabeth, age 2) settled in the Volga German colony of Kautz on 21 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 18 along with stepdaughters (Maria Elisabeth, age 13; Anna Elisabeth, age 11) [surname not recorded].

Jakob Schuhmann, a farmer, and his wife, Maria, settled in the Volga German colony of Kautz on 20 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5.

Simon Meier, a farmer, his wife Margaretha, and children (Maria, age 8; Jakob, age 5; Andreas, age 2½; Heinrich, age ½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat named Svyataya Ekaterina (St. Catherine) under the command of Midshipman Alexander Trusov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kautz on 20 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 4.

David Klein, a farmer, his wife Sabina, and children (Katharina, age 19; Daniel, age 17; Appolonia, age 13; Barbara, age 9; Philipp, age 6; Margaretha, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat named Svyataya Ekaterina (St. Catherine) under the command of Midshipman Alexander Trusov.
