Engel (Unknown)*

Widow Anna Engel arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Anna Engel is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

It is not known in which colony she settled.

The 1767 census records that Anna Engel came from the German region of Mainz.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Engel family among the Volga German colonies.

Baget*

Mattias Baget, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Mattheus [sic] Baget and his wife Cathrina [sic] are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

It is not known in which colony the Baget family settled.

The 1767 census records that Mattias Baget came from the German region of Mainz.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Baget family among the Volga German colonies.

Reinhardt (Unknown)*

Kaspar Reinhardt, a farmer, his wife Christina, and son Johann (age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Caspar Reinhard [sic], his wife Christina, and new-born son Johannes are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both father Casper and son Johannes died in route.

It is not known in which colony Widow Christina Reinhardt settled.

Römer (Unknown)*

There are two Römer families who arrived in Lübeck together in 1766 and travelled together from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.

(1) Johann Römer, a farmer, and his wife Barbara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Johannes Römer and his wife Barbara are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Meisner (Unknown)*

Joseph Meisner, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

Joseph Meissner [sic] is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from Oranienbaum to Saratov in 1767.

It is not known in which colony he settled.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Joseph Meisner came from the German region of Bayreuth.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Meisner family among the Volga German colonies.

Zimmermann (Unknown)*

Andreas Zimmermann, a farmer, and his wife Anna aarrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

Andreas Zimermann [sic] and his wife Anna Maria are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from Oranienbaum to Saratov in 1767.

It is not known in which colony they settled.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Zimmermann came from the German region of Bamberg.

Reichinger (Did Not Arrive)*

Johann Rechin [sic], a farmer, and his wife Susanna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

[Johann] Stephan Reichinger and his wife Susanna are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from Oranienbaum to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both of them died in route.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Rechin [sic] came from the German region of Bayreuth.

Kaiser (Luzern)*

Kaspar Kaiser, a carpenter, his wife Walpurgia, son Franz (age 20), and [step-children] Johann [Hartung] (age 11) and Magdalena [Hartung] (age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

Casper Kayser [sic], his wife Walburgis [sic], son Frantz Kejser, and [step-children] Conrad [Hartung] (age 11) and Magdalena [Hartung] (age 7) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from Oranienbaum to Saratov in 1767.

Meier (Luzern-2)*

Gottfridt [sic] Meyer [sic], his wife Barbara, and children (Wilhelm, age 12; Johann, age 7; Georg, age 1½) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from Oranienbaum to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both parents died in route.

Orphan Wilhelm Meier (age 13) is recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits appended to the 1767 census. He is recorded in the Household (No. 45) along with Philipp & Anna Griesbach. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Meier and Griesbach families.
