Dellos

Anthoine Deleouze, son of Anthoine Deleouze, was born in 1675 in Saint-Privat-de-Vallongue, Lozère, Languedoc-Roussillon, France. He married Catherine Pélatane.

Record of the birth of one daughter to his couple has been located: Felice, born about 1701, died 1737 (at the age of 36).

Catherine Deleouze née Pélatane died in 1712 at the age of 32.

Widower Anthoine Deleouze remarried 29 September 1712 to Ester Malzac, daughter of Jacques Malzac & Judith Têtard. She had been born 18 May 1684 in Phalsbourg, France.

The following children were born to Anthoine Deleouze & Ester Malzac: (1) Daniel, born in 1714; (2) Jean Anthoine, born 13 September 1715 in Friedihsdorf; (3) Judith, born in 1718, died in 1735; (4) Esther, born in 1719; (5) Auguste Marie, born in 1721; and (6) Jeanne Catherine, born in 1725, died in 1760.

Ester Deleouze née Malzac died in 1739 in Neuhaeusel, France, at the age of 55.

Widower Anthoine Deleouze remarried Anne Marguerite Engel. She had been born about 1710.

According to the Neu-Isenburg Ortsfamilienbuch, Anthoine Delouze and Anne Marguerite Engel had two children, both born in Neu-Isenburg: (1) Christian Louïs Deleouze, born 2 December 1744; and (2) Jeanne Marie Deleouze, born 25 February 1747.

(1) Christian married Maria Eva Kayser on 10 April 1766 in Büdingen.

Christian Dellos and his mother Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the Russian galliot named Kronverk under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Ilyin.

Christian Delym [sic], a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Huck on 17 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 74 along with the orphaned children of Heinrich Horst. The 1767 census does not record a realtionship between the Delym and Horst families.

In 1788, Christian Dellos and his family moved from Kukkus to Straub and Johann Heinrich Dellos moved from Kukkus to Laub.

The death of Christian Dellos in 1828 is recorded on the 1834 census of Straub in Household No. 2.

In 1797, Jakob Philipp & Balthasar Dellos moved from Kukkus to the Russian city of Volsk.

Balthasar Dellos and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Biberstein in Household No. 97.

(2) Jeanne Marie (Johanna Maria in German) married Johann Nicolaus Scheuermann on 11 April 1766 in Büdingen.

Johann Scheuermann, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard a koff named Alette under the command of Skipper Wybe Hendricks.

The Schauerman [sic] couple, along with Christian and Johanna Maria’s mother Anna Margaretha, are recorded on the 1767 census of Huck in Household No. 73. [See Scheuermann Family.]

Subsequent generations of this family continue with the surname spelling of Dellos.

The Büdingen parish register records that Christian DeLouse [sic] came from the German village of Neu-Ÿsenburg and that his sister Johanna Maria Delous [sic] came from the German village of Welschdorff. The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christian Dellos came from the German region of Birstein.
