Georg Gleim, a farmer, his wife Charlotta, and children (Konrad, age 19; Elisabeth, age 17; Just, age 15; Anna, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.

Widower Georg Gleim and his children (Konrad, age 20; Elisabeth, age 18; Johann Georg, age 16; Anna Maria, age 4) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kutter in Household No. 37. They had settled in Kutter on 8 July 1767.

In 1788, Heinrich Gleim and his family moved from Kutter to Lauwe.

Heinrich Gleim and his family (sons: Anton, age 22; Johannes, age 17; Georg Heinrich, age 11; Johann Martin, age 7; Johann Christoph, age 4; Michael Konrad, age 2) are recorded on the 1798 census of Lauwe in Household Lw20.

The death of Anton Gleim, son of Heinrich Gleim, in 1826 is recorded on the 1834 census of Lauwe in Household No. 15.

Johann Christoph, son of Heinrich Gleim, is recorded on the 1834 census of Lauwe in Household No. 15 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Warenburg.

Johann Christoph Gleim and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Warenburg in Household No. 146.

The death of Johann Christoph Gleim in 1849 is recorded on the 1850 census of Warenburg in Household No. 192.

Michael Konrad Gleim, son of Heinrich Gleim, is recorded on the 1834 census of Lauwe in Household No. 15 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Orlovskaya.

In 1790, Konrad Gleim and his family moved from Kutter to Straub.

The widow of Konrad Gleim and their children (sons: Johannes, age 18; Johann Adam, age 12; Johann Heinrich, age 4) are recorded on the 1798 census of Straub in Household No. Sr37.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Georg Kleim came from the German region of Isenburg.

Several translations of early documents erroneously record this surname as Klein.
