Christoph [sic] Haas, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, sons ([a] Heinrich [age not recorded]; [b] Ernst, age 23; Konrad, age 16; [c] Johann Heinrich, age 11; [d] Johann Georg, age 8), and his sister-in-law Juliana (age 30) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Der Junge Mathias under the command of Skipper David Wollert.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Dönhof on 18 June 1767

Christian [sic] Haas, his wife Anna Maria, and sons (Johann Konrad, age 19; Johann Heinrich, age 13; Johann Georg, age 10) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dönhof in Household No. 71.

[a] Heinrich Haas, a farmer, and his wife Anna Louisa are recorded on the 1767 census of Dönhof in Household No. 73.

The widow of Heinrich Haas and their children (Heinrich Konrad, age 30; Johann Wilhelm, age 23; Wilhelmina, age 19) are recorded on the 1798 census of Dönhof in Household No. Dh053.

[Johann] Wilhelm Haas from Dönhof and his sons are recorded on the 1811 census of Kautz in Household No. 17.

The death of Wilhelm Haas in 1829 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kautz in Household No. 79.

[b] Ernst Haas, a farmer, and his new wife Katharina are recorded on the 1767 census of Dönhof in Household No. 72.

The widow of Ernst Haas and their children (Johann Konrad, age 30; Johannes, age 20; Maria Barbara, age 16; Christoph Friedrich, age 13) are recorded on the 1798 census of Dönhof in Household No. Dh066.

Johann Konrad Haas and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Dönhof in Household No. 142 along with a note that his son Georg Jakob had relocated to the colony of Franzosen in 1824.

Georg Jakob Haas from Dönhof and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Franzosen in Household No. 85.

Georg Jakob Haas and his descendants are recorded on the 1850 census of Franzosen in Households No. 97 & 98.

Johann Christian Haas from Franzosen, son of Georg Jakob Haas, and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Ährenfeld.

Georg Peter Haas from Franzosen and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Friedenberg.

[c] The widow of [Johann] Heinrich Haas from Dönhof and their children (Maria, age 21; Georg Friedrich, age 17) are recorded on the 1798 census of Dietel in Household No. Dt20.

[d] [Johann] Georg Haas, his wife, and his children (Johannes, age 14; Johann Konrad, age 12; Maria Margaretha, age 7; Elisabeth Margaretha, age 3; Johann Jakob, age 1) are recorded on the 1798 census of Dönhof in Household No. Dh022.

Johannes Haas [father undetermined] (born about 1769) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dönhof in Household No. Dh029.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that the Haas family came from the German region of Stolberg.
