Lorenz (Galka)
[Christian] Ulrich Lorenz, a farmer, and his family immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1762. They are last recorded in Denmark on 22 April 1765. They joined the migration to Russia, settling in the Volga German colony of Galka on 12 April 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 43.
In 1790, Wilhelm Lorenz moved from Galka to Schwab.
Heinrich Lorenz from Schwab and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Oberdorf in Household No. 9.
Johann Georg Lorenz from Schwab and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Friedenberg.
The 1767 census records that Christian Ulrich Lorenz came from the German village of Kochstedt in the region of Wittenberg.
