Worm

Conrad Wurm [sic] from Freÿenseen & Anna Maria Knau from Annershausen were married 9 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Konrad Worm and his wife Anna Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard the Russian pink Vologda under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 76.

Konrad Worm and his family are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 149.

Konrad (junior) Worm and his sister Anna Margaretha, presumed to be the children of Konrad Worm, are recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm143 along with a note that Konrad is in Laub studying to be a tailor.

Konrad (junior) Worm and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Grimm in Household No. 302 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Kind in 1826.

The death of Konrad (junior) Worm in 1825 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kind in Household No. 58.

In 1793, Nikolaus Worm moved from Grimm to Dinkel.

Nikolaus Worm from Grimm and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Dinkel in Household No. Dn47.

Franz Heinrich & Johann Adam Worm, presumed to be sons of Nikolaus Worm, and their families are recorded on the 1834 census of Dinkel in Household No. 47.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Konrad Worm was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a craftsman (Handwerker).

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Konrad Worm came from the German region of Laubach.
