Georg Zwetzig and his family immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), arriving in the city of Schleswig on 6 June 1761. They swore allegiance to King Friedrich of Denmark on 24 July 1761.

Georg Zwetzig, a day laborer (Tagelöhner), his wife Francisca (age 29), and sons (Johann Georg, age 11; Michael, age 8; Jakob, age 6) settled on the farm "Schöner Hof" in the Danish colony of Sophienhamm. On 29 July 1762, they are recorded in the colony of Christiansholm.

They were dismissed from the Danish colonies on 30 April 1764 and joined the migration to Russia.

Georg Zwetzig, a farmer, his wife Helene, and children (Georg, age 16; Michael, age 14; Jakob, age 12; Johann, age 7; Katharina Elisabeth, age 4) are recorded on the 1767 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. 8. They had settled there on 15 June 1765.

Father Georg Zwetzig is recorded on the 1798 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. Sv49.

The stepson (Andreas Albrecht) and daughter of Georg (junior) Zwetzig are presumed to be recorded on the 1798 census of Dobrinka in Household No. Db13.

Michael Zwetzig and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. Sv31.

Jakob Zwetzig and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. Sv06.

Johann Zwetzig and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. Sv58.

The Eichhorns record that Georg Zwetzig came from the German Margravate of Baden-Durlach. The 1767 census records that Georg Zwetzig came from the German village of Spielberg.
