Obendörfer

An article by Wilhelm Funk records the following going to Russia:

Paulus Oberndörfer, a baker (Beck), son of Andreas Oberndörfer, a baker (Beck) and innkeeper (Wirth) in Eltersdorf, Lutheran, and Anna Maria Frey, daughter of the deceased Nicol. Frey, a master tailor (Schneidermeister) in Amberg, Catholic, were married on 7 May 1766 in the Lutheran Church in Wöhrd.

Lehr (Messer)

There are three Lehr families that arrived together from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax. They all arrived in the Volga German colony of Messer on 18 June 1767. Their relationship to each other is somewhat unknown at this time, but two of them are siblings from the German village of Himbach.

Lehning (Brabander)

Johannes Lehning married on 3 November 1761 in Michelsrombach to Elisabeth Schröter [also recorded as Schröther and Schröder] from Triesbach (part of the Margretenhaun Parish).

The baptism of two children of Johannes Lehning & Elisabeth Schröter are recorded in the parish register of Michelsrombach: (1) Anna Sibilla, baptized 7 October 1762; and (2) Johannes, baptized 7 September 1764.

Brenning (Kutter)

Johann Christoffel Brüning, son of Wilhelm & Anna Margaretha Brüning, was born 18 November 1737 and baptized 20 November 1737 in Langendiebach.  He married Angelica (last name unknown) on 24 March 1762 in Langendiebach.  The couple had two children, both born in Langendiebach: (1) Jost Heinrich, born 2 January 1763, baptized 5 January 1763; and (2) Johann Wilhelm, born 25 November 1764, baptized 28 November 1764.

Reifschneider (Norka)

There are two Reifschneider families from the German region of Isenburg who arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott. They both settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767. There relationship to each other, if any, needs further research - but they came from neighboring villages in Germany, traveled to Russia together, and settled in Norka together.

Herrmann (Laub)

Matthias Hermann, a farmer, his wife Anna, and sons (Peter, age 18; Jakob, age 15; Johann, age 8; Konrad, age 3; Mattias, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Der Jäger under the command of Skipper Gabriel Will.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Laub on 12 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 9.

The 1767 census records that Matthias Hermann came from the German village of Krumbach in the Darmstadt region.
