Gerlotz (Straub)

Widower Konrad Gerlotz, a farmer, and his children (Johann, age 15; Elisabeth, age 12½; Marta, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the ship named Der Junge Heinrich under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Straub on 12 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 37.

The 1767 census records that Konrad Gerlotz came from the German village of Roth in the Nassau-Usingen region.

Järger

There are two Järger families that settled in the Volga German colony of Dietel on 1 July 1767. Their relationship to each other is not recorded on the 1767 census, but they are believed to be brothers.

(1) Georg Järger, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat named Svyatoi Pavel (St. Paul) under the command of the Lieutenant Fyedor Sornev.

Herl (Brabander)*

Konrad Herel [sic], a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard the galliot Der Jan under the command of the skipper Markus Dragun.

Conrad Hirl [sic] is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 19 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 127.

The 1767 census records that Konrad Herel came from the village of Busendorf in Bayern (Bavaria).

Hergenröder (Huck-1)

Widow Katharina Hergenröder and her children (Ludwig, age 19; Anna, age 16; Barbara, age 10) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.

Son Ludwig settled in the Volga German colony of Huck on 1 July 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 53.

Hergenröder (Kukkus)

Johann Hergenröder arrived as a single man from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Wiebe Heinrichson.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Kukkus on 26 June 1767 where he is recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 19 along with his new bride, Philippina.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that he is a farmer while the 1767 census records that he is a cooper (Böttcher).

The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Raubach in the district of Isenburg.

Welzenbach*

Bartholomeus Welsenbach, a fisherman (Fischer) from Franckenland [sic], & Anna Elisabeth Schultz from Franckeland [sic] were married on 29 July 1766 in Pastor Bruns's house in Lübeck. The marriage is recorded in the parish register of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.

Bartolomeus Welzenbach, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Margaretha (age 11) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Wachsamkeit under the command of Skipper Jacob Heinrich Sager.

Dithion*

Johannes Dithion, a shoemaker (Schuhmacher), his wife Rosina, and [step-]son Georg [Schmidt] (age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat named Severnyi Orel (Northern Eagle) under the command of Lieutenant Pyotr Malenkov.

Johannes Dithion, his [new] wife Philippina, and stepsons (Heinrich [Lehmann], age 10; Georg Leonhard [Schmidt], age 7) are recorded on the 1767 census of Sewald in Household No. 5. They had settled there on 20 August 1767.

Dittor*

Philipp Dittor, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Der Junge Mattias under the command of Skipper Johann Gottfried Selander.

Philipp died during the transport from Oranienbaum to the Volga region in a group led by Lieutenant Dunkel. Anna Margaretha (recorded as the widow of Nikolaus Dittor) settled in the Volga German colony of Dehler on 1 July 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49.
