Teuerkauf*

An article by Hermann Wäschke records the following:

Christian Theuerkauft, a linen weaver (Leineweber) and cottager (Kossate) from Quellendorf, having moved there from Libehna in the area of Köthen in 1753, left with his wife and four children (two sons and two daughters). Christoph Würcker from Hinsdorf bought his very bad, dilapidated cottager's house with 5½ Morgen church land for 10 Thlr. His debts amounted to 5 Thlr. 6 Pfg.; the remaining 4 Thlr. 23 Gr. 6 Pfg. was sent to the ducal government.

Tempel

There are two Tempel families that settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767.

(1) Johann Georg Tempel, a miller (Müller), and his wife Anna Dorothea arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the pink Cargo under the command of Lieutenant Moses Davydov.

They are recorded on the 1767 census of Kraft in Household No. 48.

The 1767 census records that Georg Tempel came from the German village of Umstand in the Pfalz region.

Dilf / Telf

Heinrich Ulrich Telf, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental on 16 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 20 along with his Schäfer stepchildren.

The 1767 census records that Heinrich Ulrich Telf came from the German village of Saarburg in the Kurtrier region.

Teich*

David Teich and his wife Christina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

David Teich and his wife Christiana [sic] are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Orlovskaya on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49.

Tege (Pfeifer)*

Ulrich Tege, his wife Gertruda, and children (Peter, age 17; Elisabeth, age 14; Anna Maria, age 8; Johann, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

Ulrich Theke [sic], his wife Gerdrutha, and children (Peter, age 18; Anna Elisabeth, age 16; Anna Maria, age 9; Johannes, age 7) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that son Johannes died en route.

Tauscher*

Johann Heinrich Tauscher, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina under the command of Skipper Daniel Geier.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kaneau on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 54.

The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Tauscher came from the German village of Rauschenberg in the region of Hessen.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Tauscher family among the Volga German colonies.
