Mohn

Johannes Mohn, son of Georg & Anna Maria Mohn, was born 17 May 1722 and baptized 25 May 1722 in Hailer. He married on 16 January 1749 in Hailer to Anna Maria Öfner, daughter of Georg Heinrich and Maria Öfner. She had been born 3 September 1726 and baptized 8 September 1726 in Hailer.

Michel (Moor)

Konrad Michel, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children ([a] Ludwig, age 24; Anna, age 22; [b] Johann, age 20; Margaretha, age 17; [c] Peter, age 11; Maria, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat under the command of Midshipman Mankensey.

Konrad Michel, a farmer, his wife Anna Elisabeth, and children (Johannes, age 20; Anna Margaretha, age 17; Peter, age 12; Maria Elisabeth, age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Moor in Household No. 31. They had settled in Moor on 18 June 1767.

Mai / Maÿ (Schilling)*

Georg Mai, son of Johann Ludwig & Anna Elisabeth Mai was born 19 February 1750 in Alsfeld.

Georg Mai, a single farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Moor on 18 June 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 63 with a note that he relocated to the neighboring colony of Schilling in 1768.

Johann Georg Mai, his wife Elisabeth, and their daughters (Katharina, age 4½; Louisa, age 1) are recorded on the 1775 census of the Volga German colony of Schilling in Household No. 78.

Eichler (Moor)*

Johann Conrad Eichler, son of Johannes Eichler, was born 20 July 1721 in Bischhausen. He married in Waldkappel on 12 August 1756 to Maria Elisabetha Apel, daughter of Johann Heinrich & Anna Elisabetha Apel. She had been born in Waldkappel on 14 May 1734.

Konrad Eichler, a farmer, his wife Maria, and sister-in-law Sophia [Apel] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronstadt under the command of Lieutenant Samuel Gibbs.

Gambach*

Georg Carl Gambach, son of Johann Georg Gambach, was born 27 October 1737 in Mittlau.

Anna Johanna Steinbach, daughter of Niclaus & Anna Margaretha Steinbach, was born 14 July 1737 in Babenhausen.

The marriage of Carl Gambach from Rodenbergen [Rothenbergen] & Anna Steinbach from Bobenhausen on 9 April 1766 is recorded in the Lutheran Church in Büdingen.

Georg Karl Gambach, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Der Junge Mathias under the command of Skipper David Wollert.

Göbel (Philippsfeld)

Martin Göbel, a farmer, and his wife Jakobina settled in the Volga German colony of Philippsfeld on 17 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 27.

In 1769, Martin Göbel moved from Philippsfeld to Biberstein.

Martin Göbel is recorded on the 1798 census of Biberstein in Household No. Bb02.

The 1767 census records that Martin Göbel came from the German village of Ketzeman.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Göbel family among the Volga German colonies.

Keil (Philippsfeld)

Johann[es] Keil, a farmer, and his wife Anna [Margaretha] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Johannes Keill [sic] and his wife Margaretha are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johannes Keil, a farmer, and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Philippsfeld on 3 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.

Jung (Unknown-1)*

Heinrich Jung, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.

Henrich Jung and his wife Anna Maria are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
