Michel (Huck-2)

Ludwig Georg & Anna Margaretha Michel came from the German village of Oberreichenbach.  The baptisms of three of their children are recorded in the parish records of neighboring Unterreichenbach: (1) Anna Elisabeth on 14 April 1754; (2) Johann Adam on 21 January 1757; and (3) Anna Eva on 2 March 1760.

Ludwig Michel, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 13; Johann, age 10; Eva, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.

Neu (Huck)

Johann Heinrich Neu and his mother, Anna Margaretha, arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Huck on 1 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.

Götz (Huck)*

There are two Götz families that settled in the Volga German colony of Huck. Neither of them had any male descendants, so the surname did not continue in Huck.  They did travel together to Russia, but it is unknown whether these two are related to each other.

Sittner (Huck)

Johann Wilhelm Sittner and Anna Maria Jäger, daughter of Christian Jäger, were married in Büdingen on 19 November 1748. The baptisms of seven of their children are recorded in the Büdingen parish records: (1) Johann Georg, 13 April 1749; (2) Catharina Elisabetha, 24 January 1751; (3) Johannes, 24 December 1752; (4) Johann Heinrich, 17 August 1755; (5) Maria Catharina, 6 October 1757; (6) Johann Philipp, 10 August 1760; and (7) Heinrich, November 1761.

Krausch

Johannes Krausch, his wife Anna Maria, and daughter Anna Elisabeth (age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard a ship with Lieutenant Moisey Davidov at the helm.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 27.

The 1767 Census record this family as being from the German village of Grünberg.

Leidner

Johann Kaspar Leidner, a coach builder, his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 18; Johannes, age 17; Daniel, age 14; Wilhelmina, age 10; Wilhelm, age 9; Heinrich, age 6)  arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina with the skipper Daniel Geier at the helm.

Pastern*

Widow Anna Pastern and her children arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina with the skipper Daniel Geier at the helm.  Widow Pastern's maiden name appears to be Pracht.

In Russia, she married Johann Kaspar Leitner and they settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt.  Their combined families are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 4 with one of her daughters already married and recorded in Household No. 120.

Werner (Katharinenstadt-1)

Nikolaus Werner, a tanner, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina with the skipper Daniel Geier at the helm.

At some point after their arrival in Oranienbaum, Nikolaus died. His widow remarried to Johann Pracht who also arrived on the Anna Catharina.  They settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 5 March 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 76.

Both the Kuhlberg list and the 1767 Census record this family as being from Grünberg.

Pracht (Katharinenstadt-2)

Johann Martin Pracht, a sheepskin tanner, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina with the skipper Daniel Geier at the helm.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 5 March 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.
