Taganrog is a city on the Sea of Azov.

Many Volga German families moved from surrounding rural areas into Taganrog over the years. Most have moved to Germany following the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Volga German families settled in Khutor Litvinovka.

Volga German families settled in Alexandrovka.

Volga German families settled in the village of Saalfeld in the Rostov Region.

Viktorfeld was founded in 1878.

Over the years, Viktorfeld was absorbed into the nearby village of Imeni Lenina.

Volga German families were deported to Rakity in 1941.

Eigenheim is located near where the Don River empties into the Sea of Azov. It was founded in 1879 as a daughter colony of Riebensdorf.

Many Volga German families settled there.

Peterfeld was founded in 1908 by colonists resettling from the colony of Riebensdorf, some of whom had moved there from the Volga German colony of Dönhof.

Balabanovka is a daughter colony of Riebensdorf. It was founded in 1888.
