DeVerture*

Franz DeVerture and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. Ka127.

On 8 October 1802, colonist [widow] DuVetter [sic] of Katharinenstadt petitioned the Kontora [Office of Immigrant Oversight] for permission to accept into her household her son-in-law colonist [Christoph] Gref from Urbach. This indicates that Franz DeVerture must have died shortly before this date.

Christina TuWietter [sic], daughter of Franz DeVerture, is recorded on the 1850 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 384 as the wife of Christoph Gref.

Messerschmidt

Karl Messerschmidt and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Schäfer in Household No. Sf07.

Karl Messerschmidt and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Schäfer in Household No. 18.

Weidenkeller

Johann Weydeneller is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann Weidenkeller, a blacksmith (Schmied), and his wife Anna Maria are recorded on the 1767 census of Jost in Household No. 60. They had arrived there on 19 August 1767.

Ludwig Weidenkeller from Jost is recorded on the 1798 census of Norka in Household No. Nr175.

The Weidenkeller family is recorded on the 1834 census of Norka in Households No. 29 and 224.

Bois

Franz Bois and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. Ka014.

Franz Bois and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 320 along with a note that they had been absent since 1816.

Brahm (Katharinenstadt)*

Heinrich Brahm, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Johann, age 8; Elisabeth, age 7-weeks) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 July 1766 aboard a barque named Georg under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.

Joh. Heinrich Bram [sic], his wife Maria Justina, and children (Joh. Heinrich, age 8; Elisabeth, age ¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that mother Maria Justina and daughter Elisabeth died en route.

Beltz (Kutter)

Johannes Beltz, his wife, and his children (Johann Ludwig, age 23; [a] Philipp, age 21; Anna Katharina, age 19; [b] Johannes, age 18; Anna Barbara, age 16; Johann Georg, age 12; [c] Johann Melchior, age 9; Christoph, age 5) are recorded on the 1798 census of Kutter in Household No. Kt08.

[a] Philipp Beltz from Anton is recorded on the 1811 census of Kukkus in Household No. 67 along with a note that he had arrived in Kukkus from Anton in 1810 [sic] and that he had died in Kukkus in 1807 [sic].

Schulmeister

Johannes Schulmeister and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kamenka in Household No. Km032.

The death of Johannes Schulmeister in 1823 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kamenka in Household No. 60.

Franz Schulmeister [from Kamenka] and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Schönchen in Household No. 48.

Paul Schulmeister from Schuck and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Josefstal in Household No. 1.

Andreas Schulmeister from Kamenka is recorded on the 1857 census of Josefstal in Household No. 44.

Repp (Kamenka)

Johannes Repp and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kamenka in Household No. Km010.

The death of Johannes Repp in 1820 is recorded on the 1834 census of Kamenka in Household No. 140.

Mattias Repp from Kamenka and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Josefstal in Household No. 26.

Giesler*

Jacob Gießler (age 38), a farmer, his wife Anna Elisabeth Buffi (age 28), and children (Maria Catharina, age 17; Johann Jacob, age 16; Maria Amalia, age 12; Maria Elisabeth, age 3; Philipp Jacob, age 2; Johann Peter, age ¼) are recorded on a list of colonists dated 23 September 1765 who were gathering in the town of Worms. They had arrived in Worms on 6 September 1765. A note on this list records that daughter Maria Elisabeth died in Hamburg in route to Russia.
