Adwertin*

Widower Johann Biristaw [?] Adwertin [?], a craftsman (Handwerker), and his daughter Elisabeth (age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Fischer in Household No. 40. They had settled there on 28 July 1767.

The 1767 census records that Johann Biristaw Adwertin came from the German region of Frankfurt am Main.

There are no know surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Andersen (Fischer)

Johann Lorenz Andersen, his wife Anna Augusta Louisa, and son Jakob Herrmann (age 11) are recorded on the 1767 census of Fischer in Household No. 25. They had settled there on 7 July 1766.

Lorenz Anders [sic] and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Fischer in Household No. Fs35.

The 1767 census records that Johann Lorenz Andersen came from the German town of Kiel in the Holstein region.

Couchis

Herrmann Joseph Couchis, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Anna Katharina, and daughter Anna Maria (age 7-weeks) are recorded on the 1798 census of Fischer.

The 1767 census records that Herrmann Joseph Couchis came from the French village of Halensherr [?] and that his wife came from the Polish village of Preschenelau [?].

Dagonette*

Christian Dagonette is recorded on the 1798 census of Fischer in Household No. Fs38 along with a note that he is working as the schoolmaster in the colony of Stahl am Karaman.

The death of Christian Dagonette in 1807 is recorded on the 1811 census of Fischer in Household No. 38.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Limpert (Hummel)

In 1769, widow Anna Elisabeth Limpert and her children moved from Hummel to Luzern.

Johannes Limpert, son of the deceased Zacharius Limpert, is recorded on the 1798 census of Hummel in Household No. Hm03.

The death of Johannes Limpert in 1823 is recorded on the 1834 census of Hummel in Household No. 23.

[Some translations record this surname as Lippert, but subsequent documents record it consistently as Limpert.]

Ditt

Johannes Ditt and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Husaren in Household No. Hn21 along with a note that they are working in Franzosen.

Boleks

Kaspar Polks [sic], his family, and his siblings are recorded on the 1798 census of Hussenbach in Household No. Hs137.

Kaspar Boleks and his family are recorded on the 1811 census of Hussenbach in Household No. 137.

Wenig

Gottlieb Wenig, a single farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Jost on 5 September 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 83 along with a note that he is working as a day laborer (Lohnarbeiter) for August Heine.

The widow and sons of Gottlieb Wenig are recorded on the 1798 census of Jost in Household No. Jo06.

The 1767 census records that Gottlieb Wenig came from the German village of Gräfenhain [Gräfenhainichen] in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).

Wagner (Jost)*

Christoph Wagner, a single man, is recorded on the 1767 census of Jost in Household No. 82 along with a note that he was no longer there.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Wagner family among the Volga German colonies.
