Leichtling

Michael Leichtling, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth Adrian, and daughter (age 2) are recorded on the 1767 census of Leichtling in Household No. 1. They had settled there on 20 June 1767.

It is after Michael Leichtling that the colony of Leichtling took its name.

Michael Leichtling is recorded on the 1798 census of Leichtling in Household No. Lg02 along with a note that he and his family are actually in the colony of Fischer where he is working at the mill.

Paul Leichtling from Leichtling and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Marienfeld.

Heinschenk*

Joseph Einschenk [sic], a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and son Mattias (age 13) are recorded on the 1767 census of Leichting in Household No. 31. They had settled there on 14 May 1767.

In 1796, Joseph Heinschenk and his family moved from Leichtling to Husaren.

Joseph Heinschenk, his wife, and daughter Christina Bruhl née Heinschenk are recorded on the 1798 census of Husaren in Household No. Hn07.

The 1767 census records that Joseph Heinschenk came from the German village of Straubing.

Günther (Leichtling)*

Johann Jacob Günther, son of Johann Adam Günther (6 May 1677 - 15 December 1724) & Anna Margaretha Röder (15 May 1689 - 19 March 1741), was born 19 May 1723 in Dreieichenhain.

Jacob Günther & Anna Maria Jung were married on 11 March 1766 in the Lutheran Church in Büdingen.

Jakob Günther, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

Bierwert

In 1788, Joseph Beirwert rom Pfeifer to Leichtling.

Peter Beirwert from Leichtling and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Marienfeld.

Joseph Bahrwit and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Leichtling in Household No. Lg25.

Hin(c)kelmann*

Peter Noa [sic] Hinckelmann, son of Johann Hinckelmann & Maria Barbara Schumacher, was baptized 6 June 1766 in the Lutheran Church of St. Petri in Lübeck.

Johann Hinkelmann, a tailor (Schneider), and his wife Maria Barbara settled in the Volga German colony of Laub on 5 September 1767. [The child mentioned above is not recorded with them so must have died before arrival.] They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 61 along with a note that because of illness their debt has been assumed by colonist Kuhlmann.

Hild(t) (Hussenbach)*

Johann Wendel Hild, son of Johann Christoph Hild & Anna Elisabeth Schmidt, was born in Kleestadt on 26 September 1742.  Anna Margaretha Breitwiesser, daughter of Johann Michael Breitwiesser & Maria Margaretha Breitwiesser, was born in Kleestadt on 10 January 1732.

Johann Wendel Hild and Anna Margaretha Breitwiesser were married in Kleestadt on 11 December 1764.  Prior to the marriage, Anna Margaretha had a daughter named Anna Eva who was born in Langstadt. She went by the surname of Hild.
