Österlein*

Johannes Österlein, a farmer, his wife Sophia [widow of Peter Blumberger], and daughter Dorothea (age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. 4 along with stepdaughter Anna Blumberger (age 4). They had settled there on 7 June 1767.

Dorothea Mattern née Österlein and her family are recorded on the 1798 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. Om30.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Österlein came from the German region of Karling.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Österlein family among the Volga German colonies.

Neuheim*

Kaspar Nauheim, his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 8; Adam, age 6¼; Kaspar, age 4; Philipp, age 2¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder.

Caspar Nauheim, his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 8; Adam, age 6¼; Casper, age 4) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that all three children died en route.

Lehrübel*

Johannes Lehrübel, a farmer, and his wife Johanna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pinkom.

Georg Lehrübel and his wife [Jo]Anna Wilhelmina are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Leinen

Sebastian Leinen, a mason (Maurer), and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 23 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 69.

The 1767 census records that Sebastian Leinen came from village of Bellingen in Luxembourg.

Dietrich (Schönchen)

Abraham Dietrich, his wife Anna, and daughters (Maria, age 16; Maria [sic], age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Gabriel Wild.

Abraham Dietrich, a turner, his wife Anna, and daughters (Magdalena, age 17; Maragaretha, age 10) are recorded on the 1767 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. 70 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Schönchen in 1768. They had settled in Ober-Monjou on 17 August 1767.

Diehl (Ober-Monjou)

Georg Philipp Diehl, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and son Johann (age 8) arrived Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Katharina under the command of Skipper Daniel Geier.

Widow Katharina Diehl and stepson Johann Peter Diehl (age 10) are recorded on the 1767 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. 15. They had settled there on 5 March 1767.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Philipp Diehl came from the German region of Bieber. The 1767 census records that Katharina Diehl came from the German village of Rödern [?].

Hil(d)t (Ober-Monjou)

Servant Friedrich Fritzhilt [sic] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax along with the Johann Seib family.

Servant Fritz Hilt (age 20) is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with the Johannes Seib family.
