Zimmermann (Luzern)*

Valentin Zimmermann, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Julianna, age 23; Konrad, age 21; Elisabeth, age 16) arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 on a ship under the command of Hans Karholm.

Valentin Zimmermann, his wife Catharina Elisabeth, and children (Juliana, age 21; Conrad, age 20) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Spahr (Ober-Monjou)

Kaspar Spahr, a farmer, and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 3 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 42.

The 1767 census records that Kaspar Spahr came from the German village of Malsbach [?].

Siekart

Tobias Siekart, a hunter (Jäger), and his wife Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 23 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.

The 1767 census records that Tobias Siekart came from the German village of Birgel.

Seifert (Ober-Monjou)*

Kunigunda Seifert (age 16) is recorded on the 1767 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. 38 along with her stepfather Michael Waldheuser.

The 1767 census does not record from where Kunigunda Seifert came.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Seifert family among the Volga German colonies.

Schmidt (Ober-Monjou)*

Joseph Schmidt, a farmer, and his wife Anna Elisabeth are recorded on the 1767 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. 56 along with orphan Johannes Stuppert (age 13). The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Schmidt and Stuppert families. They had settled in Ober-Monjou on 23 July 1767.

The 1767 census records that Joseph Schmidt came from the German village of Aremind [?].

There are no known surviving male lines of this Schmidt family among the Volga German colonies.

Sack (Ober-Monjou)*

Orphan Sophia Sack (age 14) is recorded on the 1767 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. 61 along with the Georg Leribel family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Sack and Leribel families.

The 1767 census does not record from where Sophia Sack came.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Sack family among the Volga German colonies.

Paul (Katharinenstadt)

Gottfried Pauly [sic] (age 17) is recorded on the 1767 census of Ober-Monjou in Household No. 83 along with his sister Anna and brother-in-law Karl Sommer and a note that they all relocated to the colony of Katharinenstadt in 1768.

Gottfried Paul and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. Ka004.

The death of Gottfried Paul in 1818 is recorded on the 1834 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 4.

The 1767 census does not record from where Gottfried Paul came.
