Ehl (Semenovka)

Eberhard Ehl, a farmer, and his wife Anna Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Semenovka on 24 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 11.

The 1767 census records that Eberhard Ehl came from the German village of Kämmerzell in the Fulda region.

Edelmann

Heinrich Edelmann and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Semenovka in Household No. Se51.

Heinrich Edelmann and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Semenovka in Household No. 67.

Michael Edelmann is recorded on the 1834 census of Volmer in Household No. 20.

Michael Edelmann from Kamenka and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Josefstal in Household No. 43.

Diehl (Semenovka)

Johannes Diehl, son of Johann Heinrich Diehl & Anna Katharina Appel (born 15 November 1696) from Dauernheim, was born in 1729 in Utphe. He married in Utphe on 5 July 1754 to Anna Catharina Orth. She had been born in Utphe on 22 February 1734.

The births of 4 children are recorded in Utphe: (1) Johann Conrad, born 6 September 1754; (2) Johannes, born 7 May 1757, died 7 October 1763; (3) Catharina, born 14 May 1760; and (4) Johann Heinrich, born 26 January 1765. [This family is noted as being Catholic even though the rest of the village of Utphe was Lutheran.]

Dieglitz*

Johannes Dieglitz and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Semenovka in Household No. Se34.

The death of Johannes Die[g]litz at the age of 84 is recorded on 8 June 1806 in the parish register of Semenovka.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Dieglitz family among the Volga German colonies.

Borger (Semenovka)

Hermann Borger, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and sons (Georg Martin, age 10; Anton, age 4; Jakob Michael, age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Semenovka in Household No. 46. They had settled there on 24 July 1767.

Georg [Martin] Borger and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Semenovka in Household No. Se45.

The 1767 census records that Hermann Borger came from the German village of Sendelbach in the Würzburg region.

Apfel (Semenovka)

Johannes Apfel, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Anton, age 20; Simon, age 16; Maria, age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Semenovka in Household No. 38. They had settled there on 24 July 1767.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Apfel came from the German village of Bieber in the Hanau region.

Sack (Göbel-2)

The widow of Anton Sack from Göbel and their children (Konrad, age 31; Georg, age 30, Anna Katharina, age 21) are recorded on the 1798 census of Semenovka in Household No. Se27.

In 1788, Konrad Sack had moved from Göbel to Semenovka.

Dominikus Sack (age 28), also believed to be a son of Anton Sack, and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Semenovka in Household No. Se08.
