Walzer

The 1798 census of Urbach (Household No. Ur26) records that Ulrich Walzer was living as a shepherd in Rosenheim.

Johann Michael Walzer and his brothers (Johann Heinrich & Johann Christian) and their families are recorded on the 1834 census of Urbach in Households No. 29, 54, & 59.

Kahlmann*

Friedrich Kahlmann, a single craftsman (Handwerker), settled in the Volga German colony of Urbach on 13 July 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 24 along with a note that he is working as a day laborer (Lohnarbeiter) for Gottfried Schmidt.

The 1767 census records that Friedrich Kahlmann came from the German town of Kiel in the Holstein region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Kahlmann family among the Volga German colonies.

Krämer (Urbach)

Johann Heinrich Krämer, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and children (Gottlieb, age 8; Dorothea Sophia, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 August 1766 aboard the Russian galliot named Citadel under the command of Midshipman Gregory Bukharin.

Johann Heinrich Krämer, his wife Maria Elisabeth, and children (Johann Gottlieb, age 8; Dorothea Sophia, age 3) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that mother Maria Elisabeth and daughter Dorothea Sophia died en route.

Zahn (Susannental)

Michael Zahn, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and sons (Joseph, age 12; Johann Jakob, age 9; Johann Anton, age 3) are recorded on the 1767 census of Susannental in Household No. 8. They had settled there on 3 August 1767.

The 1767 census records that Michael Zahn came from the village of Saseriegen [?].

Wagner (Urbach-2)

Philipp Wagner, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth Katharina, and children (Heinrich, age 16; Anna Elisabeth, age 13; Elisabeth Katharina, age 10; Maria Elisabeth, age 7; Johann Melchior, age 5; Heinrich Jakob, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the Danish galliot Engel Rafael under the command of Skipper Ehlert Kongsted.

Zahn (Urbach)

Andreas Zahn, a farmer, and his wife settled in the Volga German colony of Urbach on 3 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34.

The 1767 census records that Andreas Zahn came from the German village of Querfurt in the Sachsen region.

Göringer (Hölzel)

Johann Göhringer, a farmer, his wife Cunigunda, and son Just (age ¾) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Wachsamkeit under the command of Skipper Jacob Heinrich Sager.

Johann Goeringer [sic], his wife Cunigunda, and son Tobias (age 1) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Tobias died en route.

Göbel (Hölzel)

Jakob Göbel, a carpenter (Zimmermann), and his wife Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Hölzel in Household No. 46. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 46.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Göbel came from the German village of Morbach in the Trier region.

Haag (Hölzel-1)*

Andreas Haag, a farmer, his wife Walburga, and daughter Margaretha (age 6) are recorded on the 1767 census of Hölzel in Household No. 53. They had settled there on 11 September 1767.

The 1767 census records that Andreas Haag came from the German village of Migeren [?] in Bayern.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
