Meier (Dietel)

Heinrich Meier is recorded on the Karl Stumpp appendix to the 1767 census of Dietel. The Stumpp appendix also records that Heinrich Meier came from the German region of Württemberg.

Krämer (Dietel-2)

Sebastian Krämer is recorded on the Karl Stumpp appendix to the 1767 census of Dietel.

In 1793, Jakob Krämer moved from Dietel to Anton.

In 1796, Andreas Krämer moved to Dönhof.

The 1798 census of Anton (Household No. An33) records that Jakob Krämer from Dietel is working at the mill in Merkel.

Michael Krämer is recorded on the 1798 census of Anton in Household No. An34. Because he is recorded next to Jakob Krämer from Dietel, it is believed that he is also from the Dietel Krämer family.

Hoffmann (Dietel-2)*

Philipp Hoffmann, his wife Elenora, and daughter Elisabeth (age 17) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767. [This Philipp Hoffmann is presumed to be the one that settled in Dietel as there are several other Dietel families recorded on the transport list near him.]

Philipp Hoffmann is recorded on the Karl Stumpp appendix to the 1767 census of Dietel.

Dr. Stumpp records that Philipp Hoffmann came from the German village of Waltenberg.

Hensel (Dinkel)*

Peter Hensel, a farmer, and his wife Anna Sophia settled in the Volga German colony of Dinkel on 27 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32.

The 1767 census records that Peter Hensel came from the village of Kabbel [Kappeln?] in Denmark.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Hensel family among the Volga German colonies.

Helbach*

Michael Helbach from Dietel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Holstein in Household No. Ho20.

Michael Helbach and his son Johann Gottlieb are recorded on the 1834 census of Holstein in Household No. 40 along with a note that Michael died in 1820 and Johann Gottlieb died in 1821.

There are no surviving male lines of this Helbach family among the Volga German colonies.

Geist (Dietel)*

Adam Geist from Dietel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Bauer in Household No. Br53.

There are no known suviving male lines of this Geist family among the Volga German colonies.
