Dorn, Mag. Johann

Johannes Dorn, son of Johannes Dorn & Catharina Raff, was born 6 February 1765 in Walershausen bei Gotha (Württemberg). He came to Russia from Winnenden, Württemberg. He studied theology at the seminary in Tübingen and was ordained on 24 September 1783.

Pastor Dorn served the congregations in Dobrinka and Galka from 1792-1794 and died in Galka on 26 November 1794.

Dötzel, Georg

Father Dötzel was born in Volmer and died in 1914 in Kleinliebental (Black Sea region).

He studied theology at the Catholic Seminary in Saratov, and was ordained on 22 November 1902. From 1903-1904, he served as assistant to the Vicar of the parish in Husaren. He began his service to the congregation in Schönchen in 1913.

His fate is unknown.

Döll, Alexander

Preacher Alexander Döll was born on 27 June 1871 in Katharinenstadt to Jakob and Elisabeth née Loos Döll. He died on 27 October 1931 after eight months of suffering in prison in Atkarsk, Russia.

He was confirmed by Pastor Theophil Keller on 31 May 1886. In 1891, he married Maria Sablefeld.

Dobrowolsky, Jakob

Father Dobrowolsky was born on 8 August 1854 in Mariental in the Odessa District. He died on 31 December 1934 in Mannheim. He was ordained on 4 September 1877. His first parish was Rohleder, where he served from 1877 to 1879. From 1879 to 1899, he was parish priest in Landau. From 1899 to 1901, he served in Mariental (Volga). From 25 September 1901 to 22 November 1903, he was parish priest and deacon in Mannheim.

Dittrich, Samuel Petrus

The Rev. Samuel Petrus Dittrich, son of Augustus Heinrich Dittrich & Maria Eleonora Klemm, was born 6 May 1834 in Tiflis (North Caucasus) and died 4 April 1882 in the Volga German colony of Frank. His first wife was Anna Amalie Lilienthal, and his second wife was Jenny Butzke.

Dittrich, Felician Joseph

The Rev. Felician Joseph Dittrich, son of Augustus Heinrich Dittrich & Maria Eleonora Klemm, was born 9 August 1831 in Tiflis (North Caucasus). He married on 12 August 1860 in Revel (Estonia) to Luise Henriette Eberhard, daughter of Leopold Eberhard & Luise Dorothea Lüken.  Luise Henriette had been born in 1842.

He studied theology at the University of Dorpat (Estonia) and was ordained on 25 October 1859. He served the Lutheran congregations in Beideck (1859-1880), Riebensdorf (1881-1885), and Yekaterinburg (1885-1903).

Dietz, Jakob

Georg Jakob "Jakob" Dietz, son of Johann Georg Dietz & Maria Elisabeth Kindsvater, was born in 1864 in Kratzke.

He was educated as a lawyer and on 14 April 1906 was elected as a member of the 1st State Duma from the Saratov Province. On 10 July 1906, he joined a group of deputies who signed the Vyborg Manifesto which called upon the Russian citizenry to protest the dissolution of the Duma by stopping payment of taxes and refusing to serve in the Russian military. For this action, he was sentenced to 3 months imprisonment, but under pressure from the public, he was released.
