Hagelgans / Hagelganz

Johannes Hagelgans, a farmer, was born in 1714 in Oberau bei Büdingen.

He, his second wife Anna, and his three children arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Reders.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter on 29 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 48.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Hagelganz came from the German region of Hessen while the 1767 census records that he came from the region of Isenburg.

Haf(f)ner

Johann Sebastian Haffner, son of Sebastian Haffner & Margaretha, was baptized on 26 March 1715 in the Johannes Evangelical (St. John's Lutheran) Church in Münchingen, which is between Karlsruhe and Stuttgart, in Baden-Württemberg. He married first Katharina Maurer, daughter of Johann Maurer, on 10 November 1739 in Münchingen. They had a daughter named Margaretha, who was born 2 September 1745 and baptized on 3 September 1745 in Münchingen.

Habermann (Balzer)

Two Habermann families arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research - but both came from the German village of Hüttengesäß.

(1) Philipp Habermann, son of Johann Philipp Habermann, was born 16 July 1719 in Hüttengesäß. He married 17 December 1749 to Maria Barbara Rudel, daughter of Philipp & Maria Katharina Rudel. Maria Barbara was baptized 16 May 1732 in Hüttengesäß.

Haas (Hockerberg)*

Johann Peter Haas was baptized 3 March 1717 in Steinbach and died there on 16 March 1760. He married in Steinbach on 6 February 1744 to Anna Margaretha Schneider. She had been baptized in Stenbach on 8 September 1723 and died there on 25 July 1760.

Guttmann (Frank)

Johann Martin Guttmann, son of Johannes Guttmann & Dorothea Heun, was born 17 March 1740 in Gersfeld.

Johann Martin Guthmann from Hasselbach & Margaretha Heun from Rommers, both in the barony of Weÿher, were married on 12 May 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

They arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Reders.

Guterig*

Johann Christian Guterig, son of Johannes Gutehr [sic] (died 9 January 1759) & Anna Barbar Kader (1 July 1707 - 27 March 1765), was born on 21 February 1739 in Gammelsbach. He married in nearby Wald-Michelbach on 9 January 1759 to Maria Katharina Albrecht, daughter of Johann Georg Albrecht, who was from neighboring Siedelsbrunn. [See Albrecht Family.]

They immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Fridericia on 1 May 1760.

In December 1760, they settled in the Danish colony of Friderichshaab.

Grünemeier

Johann Matthias Grünemeier, son of Hans Christoph Grünemeier & Anna Catharina Krammerer, was born 22 January 1700 in Graben Neudorf, north of Karlsruhe (today in Baden-Württemberg). He married there on 6 February 1731 to Maria Elisabeth Kammerer. She was born in Graben Neudorf on 1 January 1711 and died on 30 July 1739. Johann Matthias remarried to Maria Margaretha Zwecker on 1 February 1740 in Graben. She was born 30 January 1719, also in Graben Neudorf.

Gross (Kratzke)

Johann Michael Gross, son of Johann Michael & Anna Eva Gross, was born on 29 January 1717 in Steinbach am Donnersberg in the Pfalz. He married on 10 February 1739 in nearby Göllheim to Rebecca Wilhelmina Gross, daughter of Johann Jacob Gross & Maria Barbara Maul, who had been born in 1723 in nearby Jakobsweiler.

Grosch (Schuck)*

The baptisms of the following children born to Johannes & Maria Sybilla Grosch are recorded in the parish register of Heßloch; (1) Johannes, baptized 29 August 1733; (2) Anna Maria, baptized 31 October 1735; (3) Johann Philipp, baptized 21 November 1736; (4) Johann Michael, baptized 16 November 1737; (5) Johann Jacob, baptized 17 February 1739; (6) Catharina, baptized 27 August 1740; (7) Maria Salome, baptized 12 October 1741; (8) Anna Maria, baptized 4 October 1744; (9) Catharina, baptized 14 December 1745; (10) Johann Matthias, baptized 22 September 1747; and (11) Johann Heinrich, bap

Grasmück (Balzer & Lauwe)

There are three Grasmück siblings that settled in the Volga German colony of Balzer on 18 June 1767. All of them arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Johannes Grasmück was born 23 February 1681 in Rohrbach and died 12 February 1731 in Rohrbach. He married Anna Elisabetha Thonges. She was born about 1692 and died 10 November 1756 in Rohrbach.
