Frick (Frank)

Johann Heinrich Frick was born 25 March 1733 in Nidda, Hesse, Germany. His lineage can be traced back to Walther Frick, born about 1680 in Nidda, the father of Johannes Frick, a baker, who married Juliana Ruppel in 1724.

Johann Heinrich Frick married Anna Margaretha Erck, daughter of Johann Christoph Erck & Anna Margaretha Runck. She was born 4 July 1727.

Folgart

Johannes Fuldat, son of Johann Peter Fuldat, was born 12 May 1741; his godfather was also a Johannes Fuldat.

He and his wife Elisabeth (along with daughter Christina, age 1) immigrated to Russia arriving in Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the Anna Catharina with Daniel Geier at the helm.

They arrived in the colony of Katharinenstadt on 5 March 1767, and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 90 (without daughter Christina who must have died before arrival).

Fischer (Warenburg)

Johann Franz Fischer, son of Johann Nicolaus Fischer (b. 14 Aug 1688) & Anna Ottilia Ackermann (b. 6 January 1699), was born 10 January 1725 in Ober-Ramstadt, southeast of Darmstadt. Franz's first wife, Magdalena, died 29 September 1759. They have no recorded children, although the oldest of the children by his second wife could be.

Franz remarried to Anna Elisabetha (surname unknown), who was born in 1729. They have the following children: Elisabetha Catharina (born in 1759); Anna Margaretha (born in 1761); and Johann Peter (born in 1762; died in 1765).

Fech(t)

Adam Hermann Fech, son of Johann Adam Fech & Anna Maria Koch, was baptized in Düdelsheim on 1 December 1735.

He married there on 30 August 1764 to Anna Elisabeth Raab, daughter of Johannes & Anna Maria Raab. Anna Elisabeth had been baptized in Düdelsheim on 4 July 1745.

Hermann Fecht, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Charlotta (age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard a packet-boat under the command of Lieutenant Pyotr Malinkov.

Frank (Dönhof)

Johann Heinrich Frank, son of Johann Peter & Anna Maria Frank, was born 4 January 1711 in Pfedelbach. He married 3 September 1736 in Adolzfurt to Maria Magdalena Bohn, daughter of Jacob Bohn & Maria Magdalena Dab. Maria Magdalena Bohn had been born 30 November 1704 & baptized 1 December 1704 in Langenbeutingen.

Fendel (Dönhof)

Johann Nicolaus Fendel, son of Hartmann Fendel & Maria Margaretha Best, was born and baptized on 19 June 1746 in the Evangelical Church in Steinbach, about 15 kilometers northwest of Frankfurt am Main.

He emigrated to Russia, departing from Lübeck on the ship Der Junge Mathias with the skipper David Wollert at the helm. He arrived at the port in Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766.

Johann Nicolaus and his new bride, Elisabetha Hildt, settled in the colony of Dönhof on 18 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 84.

Foos (Dietel)

Johann Jakob Foos, son of Wilhelm Foos & Anna Elisabetha Neuss, was baptized on 14 April 1720 in Heimkirchen. He married on 29 April 1749 in Heimkirchen to Maria Christina Stetzenbach, daughter of Johann Jacob Stetzenbach & Anna Catharina Geipp. Maria Christina Stetzenbach had been born on 21 December 1722 in Ingweiler.

Falkenstein

Anton Falkenstein, son of Johannes Falkenstein & Anna Christina Mayerhöffer, was baptized in February 1715 in Gundheim.

He married 10 August 1738 in Heßloch to Maria Elisabeth Betzel.

Faber (Ernestinendorf)

Johann Heinrich Faber, son of Johannes Faber & Anna Maria Erckel, was born 28 September 1745 in Großen-Buseck.

He arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina under the command of skipper Johann Joachim Janson.

Joh. Faber and his wife Catharina are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johannes Faber and his wife Katharina are recorded on the 1767 census of Ernestinendorf in Household No. 33. They had settled in Ernestinendorf on 3 August 1767.

Eurich (Balzer)

There are two Eurich families from Düdelsheim that immigrated to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Balzer. Their relationship to each other, if any, requires further research.

(1) Lorenz Eurich [often recorded as variations of Laurentius Eÿring], son of Johann Conrad & Gertraudt Eurich, was baptized 4 February 1724 in Hellstein. He married in Düdelsheim on 19 November 1744 to Susanna Katharina Knaus. She had been born 28 October 1723 in Düdelsheim. She died in Düdelsheim and was buried there on 5 December 1759.
