Wittwänger*

Georg Frantz Wittwänger, a cabinetmaker (Schreiner) from Auerach, married on 13 May 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen to Dorothea Leonhard from Sprenglingen. She had been born 31 May 1737 in Sprendlingen.

Franz Wittwänger, a joiner, and his wife Anna Dorothea arrived from Lübeck on 13 September 1766 aboard the hooker Die Jungfer Dietrika under the command of Skipper Christian Korsholm.

Wittmaier

Johann Michael Wittmaier, a farmer, his wife Dorothea, and their son Johann Jakob (age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.

They have not been located on the 1767 census, but according to the 1798 census Jakob Wittmaier left Frank in 1784. Where he went is not recorded.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Michael Wittmaier came from the German region of Württemberg.

Horth

Johann Gottlieb Hert (Hort) & Maria Hähnel married on 3 June 1766 in Roßlau.

Johann Gottlieb Horth and his wife Anna Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adam Drath.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Laub on 15 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 47.

Horst (Dobrinka)

Wilhelm Horst, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and children (Christina, age 18; Katharina, age 15; Karl, age 11) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Der Junge Mathias under the command of Skipper David Wollert.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 85.

Georg Heinrich Horst from Dobrinka, his siblings, and their families are recorded on the 1857 census of Rosenberg in Household No. 44.

Horn (Krasnoyar)

Ludwig Horn from Kurpfalz in the district of Utzberg & Margaretha Franck, spinster from Hausen in the area of Darmstadt-Lichtenberg, were married on 24 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Ludwig Horn, his wife Anna Maria [sic], and children (Anna Katharina, age 17; Anna Margaretha, age 13; Johann Christoph, age 7½; Johann Philipp, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the pink Cargo under the command of Lieutenant Moses Davydov.

Horn (Laub)

Johann Joseph Horn, a farmer, his wife Maria Margaretha, and cildren (Anna Maria, age 13; Johann Christian, age 11; Anna Helena, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the Danish galliot Der Engel Rafael under the command of Skipper Ehlert Kongsted.

Joseph Horn, his wife Maria Margreta, and children (Anna Maria, age 14; Christian Mathias, age 12; Catarina Elisabet, born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Thiel (Seelmann)*

Heinrich Diehl, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Seelmann on 16 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 27.

The 1767 census records that Heinrich Diehl came from the German village of Hefebach in the Trier region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Diehl family among the Volga German colonies.

Döll (Walter)

Erasmus Döll, son of Johannes Döll & Anna Gela Boss, was baptized in Altenschlirf on 19 May 1719.

Erasmus Döll married on 10 May 1740 to Elisabetha Catharina Kunckel, daughter of Johann Conrad Kunkel from Heckenbergheim.
