König (Reinhard-1)*

Karl Christian König, a single pastor, settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard on 11 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.

The 1767 census records that Karl Christian König came from the German village of Altenburg in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).

There are no known surviving male lines of this König family among the Volga German colonies.

Korn (Reinhard)*

Gottfried Korn, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard on 15 October 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32.

The 1767 census records that Gottfried Korn came from the German village of Prenzlau in the Brandenburg region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Weißenburger, Klemens

Father Klemens Weißenburger was born in 1893 in the German colony of Selz in the Kherson Province.  He died in 1919 in Selz.

He studied theology at the Roman Catholic Seminary in Saratov and was ordained by Bishop Kessler in 1917.

He served the following parishes:

Köhler, as vicar (1917-1918)
Selz (Odessa), as vicar (1918-August 1919)

Becker, Philipp

Father Philipp Becker was born 15 August 1868 in the German colony of Selz in the Odessa Region.

He studied theology at the Roman Catholic Seminary in Saratov and was ordained on 18 August 1891.

The served in the following parishes:

Eckhard(t) (Reinhard)

Johann Friedrich Eckhardt, a farmer, and his unnamed father settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard on 13 March 1766.

His father died after arrival in Reinhard. Johann Friedrich is recorded on the 1767 census of Reinhard in Household No. 33.

The 1767 census records that Johann Friedrich Eckhardt came from the Danish village of Ostenau.

Probst*

Johann Kaßpar Probst & Anna Margaretha Seybold were married on 28 May 1765 in Roßlau.

Johann Kaspar Probst, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Anna Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard on 15 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 14.

In 1783, Karl [Kaspar?] Probst moved from Reinhard to Saratov. By 1798, he was in Orenburg.

The 1767 census records that Johann Kaspar Probst came from the German region of Hanstedt.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.

Kauerhof (Reinhard)

Johann Kauerhof and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard. Johann died and his widow remarried to Johann Georg Eberhausen.

The combined Eberhausen/Kauerhof families are recorded on the 1767 census of Reinhard in Household No. 16.

Basner

Christian Wilhelm Basner, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard on 25 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 28.

Christian Basner and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Reinhard in Household No. Rh17.

The 1767 census records that Christian Wilhelm Basner came from the German village of Neckersberg in the region of Prussia.
